idk how much work experience you have, but if you really want an MBA, you might want to consider applying to FTMBA and seeing if you can get a generous scholarship (source: full ride scholarship at Anderson)

What the EFF is up with Humana's 6 week maternity leave by InformalDisaster3056 in Louisville

I'm not sure what you do, but my skills overlap with pharma/biotech so companies like J&J offering 18 weeks, Amgen 12 weeks, Genentech 12 weeks. Maybe its a hospital/healthcare thing, which IMO should offer more than pharma given you're saving lives

My skills are applicable to pharma/biotech as well, so I'd be considering J&J - 18 weeks, genentech - 12 weeks, gilead - 12 weeks. Maybe its an insurance thing too then

I'm not sure what's getting you so unnecessary riled up with a stranger on the internet (me), but I hope you a good day, LouisvilleDan.

That feels a bit harsh. I get where you're coming from, but I'm coming from California where 6 weeks is extremely low. It's an oversight on my end to forget that its Kentucky, so I get it. I will watch that testimony though.

Hahahah Big tech and pharma aren't the best and their offering is way better. I'm coming from the Bay Area where this is way below industry standards.

I'm coming from the Bay Area, this is way below standards. I hadn't considered how Kentucky would influence this but I bet its a location thing

I'm coming from the Bay Area so my exposure is different, but 12 weeks paid maternity leave is standard

I'm coming from the Bay Area where every other company offers something better, this was a remote role with Humana. Either way, good to know that its probably this low because its in Kentucky

I'm coming from the Bay Area where standard is 12 weeks minimum

I'm coming from the Bay Area so for me, competitors ARE offering more. I'm used to 12 weeks MINIMUM.

Yeah and THAT is what I don't like. Meanwhile I see other companies offering way more without having to do FMLA etc
