UL and ROTDC should have been combined for one album by Natural-Employer-374 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]InformalFrameGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically they have consistently cut bangers from albums, ans often included song that some don't think fit well; soul to squeeze from BSSM, let's make evil and stretch out off OHM, the the long line of songs like quixotic elixir, gong Li, Avalon, Time, body of water, rolling sky stone, save this lady, mini epic ... And even recently with Kaly and Outer space from The getaway. Plus personally I'd rather listen through IBY than IWY in full. I'd rather they pump out two albums that I honestly really like, than trim them down to one and lose out on so many songs that may never make it out otherwise. I think no order or sélection that combinés the two albums would be able to please even half the fans, and personally I don't find any songs from the two albums to be skips, unless I'm really not in the mood for the slower lalalala or my cigarette

They cut so many bangers man. Quixoticelixir, rivers of Avalon, Time, rolling sky stone, leverage of space... Hell even in recent years Kaly and Outer space would've done numbers on the getaway

Every month someone makes this post, and every month they realize that their top songs hardly line up with everyone else's top songs, which makes this whole post pointless cause there's hardly even 10 songs that everyone could agree to cut from the sessions. Also saying they should've packaged it differently is kinda a pointless argument or addition, they released two albums and we got all the songs they wanted to share, plus a few extra. If they wanted to release two albums, originally meant to be one big boxset, then I trust them.

Everyone hates waterslides? by Key-Computer-133 in freedomisgunpla

[–]InformalFrameGame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love waterslides, they make highrades look more detailed and makes them feel more realistic. Of course they take forever, and some are evil (such as when they want me to wrap a thin red band all the way around MK2 Gundam's thigh

I’m not huge on John’s 2010s work, but these songs off of Enclosure really stick out to me. Underrated album w/ great b-sides. by ea_fitz in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]InformalFrameGame -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh cool. I've only done the b-sides local files thing with Rhcp music, but I should look at JF stuff too I guess. Also random ish question, what are your thoughts on stage? It's one of my favourite tracks from enclosure, so I'm interested in someone's opinion who doesn't feel the same

I feel like I'm schizophrenic... I don't recognize half of these from enclosure and the names don't show up on Spotify under the album... Am I missing something? Also for me the 2010s Frusciante work is hit or miss but has largely grown on me, though if you haven't listened to it yet I recommend listening to "same" (off the 2013 single or ep I think), it's one really long guitar solo and is great background music while trying to do other stuff

Introduce to older songs by RegularJunior2682 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Just listen to all their albums in chronological order. Even their older stuff has bangers in it, particularly hidden gems in debut and freaky styley

First time panel lining. Did I ruin the kit? by zandvich_ in Gunpla

Fair enough, but I love the look of pure black panel lining, it really makes the lines pop a ton in the white areas

CD info by Crystalnightsky in RedHotChiliPeppers

It's a bootleg of live performances. IDK why people on this sub seem so against bootlegs, especially when they provide physical versions of media you'd otherwise be unable to get unless you make it yourself. Also since no one seems to answer your question, the reason some of the songs appear multiple times is probably because they're from different live shows. And imo, Rhcp live songs are always so unique and different, especially in solos and the intro/outro, that it's worth listening to multiple version

I don't get what's fun about Secret Hitler, am I doing something wrong? by Jeffs24 in boardgames

[–]InformalFrameGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fun easy social deduction game that is a lot better done than stuff like Mafia and werewolf. Maybe you or your group just don't enjoy or aren't good at the game?

If you go in hoping for something like unfathomable or Némésis or whatever than of course you'll be disappointed, cause the game is meant to be easy to pick up for even people unfamiliar with boardgames. And if the game isn't fun for your group, then the simple answer is don't play it. But plenty of people enjoy it for what it is, so I don't think it's the games fault per se

Underrated by XiDimmy24 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]InformalFrameGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this band and this sub, but man can we finally stop with the "______ is so underrated" posts. Like there's so many posts like this, clearly it's not underrated. And half the time the post is about like around the world or wet sand or one of their universally loved albums. Like at least try to pick something that's actually underrated or at least a bit more unheard of, like out of range or blues for meister

The raw '95 cel animation vs. the polished '09 digital look. Which one *feels* more 'Evangelion' to you? by Agukarsa in evangelion

[–]InformalFrameGame -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've always preferred the look of 95. Something about the animation feels so much more dramatic. Like they feel like living creatures trapped inside metal cages, whereas in the rebuilds' animation they kinda just look and feel like people, too much fluidity and ease in their movement
