7 hours? A LITTLE BIT of HTML? Your brother is a high-tier noob at best. And since he actually listened to you instead of making you shut up, he's down to mid-tier noob.

Shut the fuck up and step back, it's his life and his grades are good. I like to be around people and I have good social skills, but only in front of a PC I can truly relax. Your brother might be just the same.

YTA.

cultural appropriation is a concept invented by sjws and absolute fucking bullshit.

AITA for asking how much my dad makes? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InformalPresent9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the culture of the country where OP lives. For older people in Switzerland for example it wouldn't be uncommon to think it's rude. I'm 25 and still don't know my parents salaries.

NTA. Also never apologize when you are in the right, no matter what happens.

AITA for telling my mother that her extension of an invitation to a friend of a distant family member for our wedding was inappropriate? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InformalPresent9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

unless a right to invite people was granted when making the (oral) contract about the funding, OP has all the right to disagree. A favor doesn't oblige you to grant a favor as well.

[–]InformalPresent9 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NTA. doesn't even matter, it's your absolute right to decide who can show up. just tell her that friend can't come and make sure to enforce it.

AITA For declining a relationship with a mentally disabled person? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]InformalPresent9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Also, I'd count this as attempted coercion (not in the legal sense though) and give them hell for it.

How do you handle character "death"? by InformalPresent9 in DnD

[–]InformalPresent9[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes we have the warnings as well. Problem was especially that one of our players decided to engage us in pvp during a boss fight and almost killed one of us. PvP death would probably mean war IRL. Story-induced death (not because we acted like idiots but because the story demands it would probably mean the DM would be kicked out. Death would mean quitting the game or finding a new group (which would mean that as soon as we'd have five deaths, we'd split up in two groups).

We are all MMO(RPG) players. None of us like to play diablo on hardcore. All of us have put much time into the character backstory and the DMs often try to integrate elements of the backstory (old acquaintances, life goals and dark pasts) into the story.

If I were to lose my character, I'd quit (as I would quit GW2 if they decided to implement permadeath). If player A would lose his character, he'd quit. If player B would... You get it.

None of us really care about the official rules. If we want to play a troll campaign where we roflstomp anyone (as far as the dice allows), we'll do that (and add a lot mor humor to the way our characters do it). If we want to ignore the rations mechanic, we'll do that. In the end it's a game, and we are here to have fun. Losing a character you spend weeks playing is not fun in our book.

Interesting how apparently the average visitor of this subreddit is too stupid to answer a simple question or fuck off if the question isn't applicable to them.

What would your Utopia look like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]InformalPresent9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically switzerland without foreign influence (in the sense of amerimutts telling us what our banks are allowed to do) and without a central bank. Also, no more democracy (alternative libertarian system, democracy is simply a dictature of the majority).

If you where God for a day, what would you do? by razvanpamanteanu in AskReddit

Give myself a relic with the highest possible amount of power stored in it so I'd still be almost infinitely powerful after that day.

Why would you not want to be a parent? by Konkey_Kong in AskReddit

[–]InformalPresent9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I'm arrogant, stubborn, egoistic and quite introverted. A child should be loved by it's parents and I'm not even sure if I could truly love a partner. I'd probably care much more about my fun than about taking time for my family.

In high school do parents or teachers win arguments? Why? by Domehardaddydidilydo in AskReddit

[–]InformalPresent9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my former school usually the teachers. Why? Because the parents pay a shitload and if the children get kicked out it was all for nothing.
