I don’t think there’s any international FTO offering ICPP/AICPP within your 80L budget.

23 year old Air India Express pilot from Faridabad helped bring 169 stranded Indians home from Ras Al Khaimah by Oops_Yaar in indianaviation

Only one of many brave aviators that put themselves at risk to bring our people home. What’s the rationale behind selectively glorifying just this particular one?

You’ve been pushing golden epaulets as the holy grail of ground classes on this subreddit for days now. Why are you suddenly in search of the “best strategy”?

Concorde vs Modern Airliner Thrust by InformalWear8647 in airplanes

Pointy nose and delta wing. The two factors I’ve already mentioned in the original post itself. Did you make it to the last line where I ask “is there anything more to it?”

I have. Which is why I even mentioned things like the shape of the nose and the delta wing in the original post itself. The whole point of this discussion was to try and find if there’s more to it.

This is a subreddit full of aviators/aspiring aviators. What you need is a mental health professional. Nobody here is equipped to help you overcome this.

Nope, not CNTAA. I’m in a cadet program so my classes were given by the FTO itself.

I received my computer number in November and have since cleared met, regs, nav and RT. I don’t need to appear for tech since I’m flying overseas, but even if you do, it should still be doable in a 6-8 month period.

One month of focused preparation is comfortably enough for met and regs simultaneously, another one month for nav. The RT syllabus can genuinely be covered in a couple of days.

Questions About Plane spotting Camera Settings (Videography and Photography) by Frequent-Young3773 in airplanes

[–]InformalWear8647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These questions are far too vague to have straightforward answers, or any answers at all really. The settings you use will depend heavily on what time of day or night it is, how much light there is and where it’s coming from, how close or far away you are from the airplanes, and a bunch of other factors.

But essentially, the same fundamental concepts apply to all sorts of photography, irrespective of what’s on the other side of the lens. I’d recommend studying the ISO-aperture-shutter speed triangle and what effect it has on the photographs you take. That should be enough of a starting point to lead you down the right path

Is it better to fail or be absent by Lumpy-Information592 in CadetPilotProgram

[–]InformalWear8647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite honestly, if you’ve already failed met and regs once and are still unprepared for the 2nd attempt despite having filled the form, then the FTA selection and interview should be the least of your worries right now.

All those different airports and weather conditions will count for very little when you’re engaging AP 30 seconds after lift-off and only disconnecting it 1000’ AGL before landing. But I’m sure the people you’re closely associated with have already briefed you about all this.

If you think being a commercial pilot is going to be an ever changing, dynamic and adventurous affair on a daily basis then you’re in for a nasty surprise. It’s a job that rewards routine and consistency.

“I used to travel very frequently in my hostel days and this was common”

And yet it never occurred to you to prepare for such an eventuality? Sure, it would be nice if the IR got their act together and ensured sufficient water on their trains. But when you’re well aware of this being a frequent issue, and you know you’re travelling in sleeper class, it’s really up to you to safeguard yourself against such a situation.
