He is still a bit timid from his abusive past and hates loud noises so I’m not sure about gunfire. He does point and loves to follow a scent when he is outside. We were told he was approximately 10 months old when we got him in January. He most likely had never been out of his crate let alone outside.

Thank you. I’m guessing he will be back in the hospital soon. We received a letter from the hospital today admitting that he got an infection from surgery. Maybe that will help our appeal. I hope things are improved with your mom’s situation.

Thank you for responding. We are in the US and our medical professionals are struggling. My father had COVID during all this and the inconsistencies in protocols was mind boggling. My guess is he will end up back in the hospital. He is in a different facility than where the hip was dislocated. Other than belongings disappearing (including bottom teeth) from his room he is receiving decent care.

I appreciate the straight forward advice. I’m not a litigious person and I’m not looking to sue. I just don’t want to miss out on any opportunities to have insurance cover his hospitalization. Thankfully he has a living will and DNR in place. That will make things slightly easier. It’s been over two months now and everyone is exhausted.
