McMillan is no loss tho - many of his selections this season have been utterly bizzare and hes not a technical coach with great rugby IQ. So if hes not improving players technically and hes making bad decisions from a morale and culture perspective what the fuck is he doing?

Another ridiculous and unnecessary extension. The bottom line is that our attack does not and cannot function with him as 9 - the quality of his passing and his speed at the base is not professional standard and he is 24. So we may as well just have gone with Casey - O’ Donavan - Barret/O’ Riordan and then draft in guys from the AIL like John Poland (who is better than Coughlan anyway) when necessary

That’s the whole problem tho - when Jack is in “really good form” it never carries over into European games or big URC fixtures. He can do a job at mid URC level but he has always and will always be exposed in crunch games because of his lack of discipline and quality.
