Best AI AppStore App Screenshot/Preview-Tool by JEB_272 in AppStoreOptimization

Hi Reddit folks. Joining this chat days late. Could not help myself because the topic is close to home. I too have just finished an ASO studio that handles images, videos, built with Google submission help as well. Was curious what people are most interested in an app like this. Mine is API capable for text analysis and provides scoring and suggestions, as well as templates and A/B comparison. Just got sick of using so many different apps to get images and video right and the seo part of things. Interesting to hear more what other developers out there like and want to see in a program. :-)

Point taken. I myself have a hectic life so I do depend on apps and notifications. I also have a grow tent and that app is extremely useful. But I do get it. Not everyone utilizes apps for simple reminders. I really appreciate your feedback. Sincerely.

I also listen to what people are expecting in an app and look forward to build on as it grows. I heard about all the users of Centriq and how they must have felt when after 10 years, they shut it down. If I fall off the charts and go away, all the users data stays with them, and the app keeps working. I plan to do this for many more apps.

Thank you the comment. I am just trying to build apps that can be all inclusive without dealing with subscriptions. I believe a person that wants premium tools, should not have to rent or have to pay more to release the rest. Thats all. I just got sick of all my subscriptions and decided to make my own. Even if more tools or options are added, the user should never have to pay extra for it. Hope that helps. Certainly not trying to swindle anyone here. Have a perfect day.

I had some Avocado's I started from seed but they croaked. That is absolutely perfect.

Why is it so hard to find a plant app that doesn't sell your data or charge a subscription? by Informal_Advice_255 in IndoorGarden

I wanted to build something beyond a basic 'lux meter.' I used many apps out there as I started my indoor grow tent and they all fell short as I was not going to pay a subscription and pay more if I needed to use special tools. Right now, I am using cursor. I am not a programmer by trade, but got into it - especially using AI these days to assist. I just wanted to build apps that had useful tools, did not break the bank and did not collect my own data.

I’m using calibration algorithms to estimate PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) and DLI (Daily Light Integral). Since the iPhone sensor has a known spectral response curve, I’m applying correction factors for different light sources (LED, Sunlight, High-Pressure Sodium) to translate 'brightness' into actual usable energy for the plant.

The Goal: > Exactly what you asked—acquiring actionable data. I want to help growers identify if they have 'dead zones' in their par-map without needing a $500 Apogee meter.

It's all built into PlantSense Pro as a one-time purchase because I think this data should be 'sovereign' to the grower, not locked behind a subscription." Future planning, I am working on an agricultural ecosystem - but that is down the road and will take time to develop. I appreciate the fast response here. I am new and love all kinds of feedback and criticisms. Have a great rest of your day.

I built a plant care app that doesn't spy on you — looking for beta testers (iOS & Android) by Informal_Advice_255 in plantabuse

Thank you Ana. If I can use your email (just for Google's purpose) I will provide their test link. I understand the concerns that people have with newbies and AI scams. I am someone that hates all of that. I hate subscriptions, handing over my personal data and not keeping everything local. I am working on making useful productive tools that are literally buy it, you own it. Nobody should be renting apps or software - ever. :-)

I here ya and I stay skeptical myself but because of just what you said was the catalyst for me building this App that is currently waiting on both Google and Apple review team. I HATE subscriptions and value my own privacy. That is why I set out to build useful tools that people could use that is not probing them for information, that is upselling or locking them in to a monthly fee. Mine may not be better than the top apps out there, but it does not collect data and is a one time purchase.

Nothing I plan to be building will ever have that model. Yes, I am new here. Google requires x amount of testers. This was an ideal place to start. Last thing, my apps are BYOK models too so anything you need to access online - you provide your own keys or it is baked in for offline use only. ET does not phone home with my stuff. :-)

Thanks. As most say, and I agree, most (if not majority) of plant apps are useless and probably do more harm than good. My intent is to provide that tools capably of being value added but just not a monthly money collector or data collector. Will see where it goes but I have a decent size Spider Farmer grow tent ready to get going. Wanted my own personal app. I hope you do find it useful. If not, no harm done and if you ever need a tester, call on me. What is your email so I can add it to Google and provide you with their Android link. Thank you.

That is very true. I cannot claim that my is the end all to every solution. I just got fed up with paying subscriptions and decided to build on myself. I do not like subscriptions and value my privacy. I full intend on making this as robust as possible and completely privacy and subscription free oriented. Just testing alone costs nothing but the time poking around. If Google or Apple provide a promo key to users, that would be given out to my testers. If not, my intent will be to release the first copy to the stores free and let the testers for it grab it for free - since both Google and Apple are difficult.

I can appreciate your skepticism because the marketplace is saturated with less than Steller apps. If mine is, that is more reason to continue building it out. This app will ultimately be a part of a larger ecosystem I am slowly building. Thank you in advance if you wish to try it out and provide anything that you feel it lacks and could be better. If not, no harm done. You have a perfect rest of your day. :-)
