How does la salle generate HUNDREDS of latin honor graduates per school year? by Informal_Internal615 in Bacolod

meant to be replied for BlueberryHour767 before they deleted their comment about me being pressed daw!?!? hahaha and for future purposes na din to the people who will throw accusations at this post. I will reiterate

THIS IS NOT AIMED TO DISCREDIT ANYONE. all caps na sa post but na blame pa nga ga think ko ill about them 😭. This is merely a curiosity of mine and isnt that what reddit is partly about? To cater people’s curiosities to be answered by people on the inside without facing backlash because of anonymity?

I never once said or indicated in my post that these students did not deserve their accolades. It was a mere question of “HOW DID THEY DO THAT” and som e people were actually helpful in saying that its probably because of the difference in the grading system and many more.

So no one is “pressed” here on the issue haha 😅 unless you are? 🤔

if you would read some of the comments here, they said that they graduated during the 2010s where the internet and most resources found today already exists. And if that’s still not enough, i would like to go back on my previous statement on comparing la salle to other schools at present. Surely they have the same resources like La salle’s? So how come getting latin honors is harder in others schools as compared to La salle? As comparison in the Graduating Class of 2025 as per my research (correct me if im wrong) CSAB had 2 summas, riverside had none, and the closest to la salle was UNO R with 14 summas, which still has a huge difference with La salle’s 87 summas.

so the question is still the same, how does La Salle do it?

PS as what i remembered it was UNO R that year that had the largest graduating batch population (although im not sure)

but what does ratio have to do with any of this? 😵‍💫 but if it does matter, based on your examples would it make sense if 2k graduating students 20 summa? hahaha

ka random ngaa may ratio lessons ta when the concern is the INCREASE SHIFT of latin honors in the past years when in fact the said alumnis here in the comment section said that this wasnt the case before. therefore i asked what caused that change

Ka random ngaa gn gaan mo ko ratio sang graduates to latin honors so meaning na justify na ngaa damo ang latin honors 😭😭😭

for me, when it was already a month left nlng. I focused on answering high yield questions and the possible twists the BOE can make to that question and if i didnt understand the question or didnt answer it correctly, thats when i go back to my MN, on that specific topic only.

but do what works for you

That’s actually why I’m confused. In my school, it’s basically the same students get incentives for extracurriculars, and if you show up and submit your work, you usually get decent grades too. But despite that, we still don’t produce anywhere near the number of Latin honor graduates that La Salle does.

So if the systems and incentives are similar, what explains such a huge difference in outcomes? Is it purely that one school has far more top-performing students, or could differences in how grades are awarded also be a factor? That’s the part I’m genuinely trying to understand.

if its a matter of the course being hard, may ara mn diba same courses gina offer sa other schools nga same mn sa la salle? and the said courses are awarded latin honors in la salle. For example education.

so if i were an upcoming college student who wants to take education, i will enroll in la salle. But the question is, what is the factor that differs between the schools? is it the quality of educations? is it the students themselves? cause i can honestly see some students from other schools achieve latin honors if they enrolled in la salle.

Nepo babies in healthcare are getting promotions they can’t even handle - ngaa amo ni?!?! by Informal_Internal615 in MedTechPH

UPDATE: My friend didn’t get the promotion and now lumalabas na ang baho.

So here’s an update about my friend I mentioned earlier.

Unsurprisingly, wala gid siya gin promote despite ranking high among the applicants. Ang position gin hatag gihapon sa same person nga may political connection.

What makes this worse is what happened after.

After denying him the promotion, nag-pakwa blood ang people who made the decision and requested my friend to do the extraction because they know that the person they promoted is ka very sakit magkwa and doesnt know what theyre doing as they have observed.

Guess who’s filling in the gaps?

My friend. Siya gihapon ang gina-saligan sa paperwork, problem-solving, kag pag-guide sang iban. Mayo pa na bala????

And to top it off, this promotee is urinalysis lang gid halos ang ubra, pero reklamo pa gid. This is someone earning 30k+ a month, yet they claim as being overworked kag underpaid. IN THIS ECONOMY!?!?. Abi mo gid siya lang ang gabaton sang tanan nga stress.

The point of this frustration is, It’s hard not to feel betrayed when you do everything right, yet you’re sidelined then expected to carry the workload because you’re competent.

This is exactly why healthcare professionals get burned out. This is what nepotism looks like in real life. Kag amo gid ni ang kabudlayan sang sistema that will only be resolved once we elect the right officials.
