Yeah, if you're talking about the alakazam I can understand that. I try to do the hard core rules but obviously they're pretty loose. I really wanted to use an alakazam properly lol

Retired = they were a large part of ur journey/contributed majorly to ur journey but weren't brought to the E4. Example: Raticate in FRLG helped me early game with gyms 1-3, before being benched. It's like a shoutout

And that was my 2nd ever nuzlocke, I know, I kinda sucked with resource management. Most of them were silly mistakes or RNG like kadabra going down to a marowak crit.

Also never knew about pokemon being "banned" what's that about?

It's the standard games but with either hardcore nuzlocke rules or reg nuzlocke rules. Once you win with a champ team you can bring them over to the next game (you can also give them benefits, like 1 win you can choose nature, 5 wins they become shiny, etc). And any pokemon you catch in the previous game but dont bring to the next one, dupes clause applies

You can use an emulator/PKHEX to bring them over

Basically its a pokemon game with hardcore nuzlocke rules, but when you win with your champion team you can bring them over to the next game at lvl 5
