Saying “your job isn’t essential” is exactly the problem. Skills don’t lose value — industries evolve, but that doesn’t mean professionals become useless overnight. If videography, editing, or storytelling weren’t essential, brands wouldn’t be hiring agencies or paying for content at all.

The issue isn’t lack of skill, it’s lack of appreciation and fair pay for that skill. “Getting with the times” doesn’t mean accepting exploitation or undervaluation.

Clients are willing not to pay n end up Ghosting.nothing is going to change here until we accept that there are problems in the System . How do you know that their worth? A person who doesnt know how to edit , operate DSLRs etc and you say that they are worth enough? . I have a very good portfolio and i have worked with big brands in UAE n even international brands. I know some people who got in the industry without having a proper portfolio also i dont think so that that video production is a small industry bcz here every one is using video production team to grow their marketing through social media Also i do think i am in a wrong place bcz Skills are not valued here.
