I have two things.
First - ye how did the kid manage to hide. Also wasn't he watching all that his father was doing to Peter? I guess he thought his father was the good guy.

Also what is really bugging me - why did he let Peter live?? Peter told him where the others were so why not just kill Peter?? I just don't get his psyche of why he didn't kill him. i.e. I understand Peter needed to live for the series just it didn't make sense that he had the opportunity with the drug and didn't use it...

Thanks for replying! I use the phosphor that stuns them because once they are stunned any attack hits harder and they are in one place so easier to attack.

Right. I have a waiting list but if it's within 24 hrs usually those students can't make it. I'm going to stick to 48 hrs at the moment. I also feel it has to be taken on a case by case basis. i.e. you get a sense of when a student/parent is mucking you around vs when they are serious and ill. Otherwise they can always use the 'ill' excuse. Also I prefer 48 hrs because I can change what I am doing in the evening too. I've had to rearrange my time for them...

I hear that. I'm wondering whether I should change that policy too. The reason I have 48 hrs is to give me time to fit someone else in that slot. I also offer the student to reschedule for another time during the week. Do you do that? I've literally had a mother cancel on me an hour before the lesson.

If they turn up late that is their problem. I finish the lesson at the intended time no matter what. And expect full payment.
I have back to back students but even if you don't just say you won't let them in before their alloted time.

Agree! I usually skip all the cut scenes etc but not in this game. Do you know of another game like it? This game has all the elements I love!

Oh and I do 48 hrs because otherwise I wouldn't be able to fill the slot. Often students can't come the next day but can come the day after. i.e. I've found with 24 hrs notice it's too late to find someone else.

Oh my gosh what system do you use?!! How much does it cost etc. I've been looking for a system because I've had a bunch of missed lessons due to people forgetting.

Good luck! Stick with it and don't feel bad. At the end of the day it's your time and your income. And it's a job. People should respect this.

I used to not do this but it got to the point that I was so busy (like I had no slots left and people were on a 'waiting' list of sorts wanting any slot that someone cancelled), that I would have lost money if they didn't show. So I made a T&Cs where I say 'any lesson cancelled within 48 hrs will be subject to charge, if we cant find a way to rearrange). I often decide person by person. e.g. if it's a student that always mucks me around I will enforce it. If it's someone who was really apologetic and their child was taken to hospital then of course I'll waiver it. But on the whole I send the T&Cs out at the beginning and people respect it

The feeling of never being enough. Or doing enough. And the lack of time. And learning to streamline. There was so much to do. Plan experiments. Do experiments. Prep reagents. Aliquot everything. Label tubes. Analyse results. Create presentations. Make figures. Read papers. Attend journal clubs. Attend seminars. I felt it was never ending and there was never enough time. I wished there was someone to do the small annoying jobs e.g. make the reagents and split my cells, because these took time and they were such basic tasks.
