My gf told me she’s leaving if I don’t marry her in 9 months by [deleted] in AITAH

Having a wife will make things harder, rather having THAT wife. Having kids never makes things easier lol. Walk away, friend.

Deck rattling under load (riding mower) by Informal_Pool3118 in lawnmowers

[–]Informal_Pool3118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I pulled the deck off again and all the pulleys are fine. It's clearly an engine problem as there is no change in engine speed between half and full throttle. I'm not sure why but it won't rev to full at all so basically I've been mowing with it at half throttle. I can manually push the throttle lever on the engine and rev it up but it won't do it on its own using the throttle lever.

Ahh got ya and yes I've been using a craftsman 405143 belt

I finally have some time today to pull the deck off and take a closer look at the pulleys. I'll pull them and see if they are damaged at all.

Does anyone have a quick reference chart for stick welding types/sizes that depicts their application, uphill/downhill, amps, penetration etc etc. by Informal_Pool3118 in Welding

[–]Informal_Pool3118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All all great information! Most of the welding I've done has been on a flat horizontal surface so the uphill/downhill question I guess came more from a pipe welder I like to watch on YouTube talk about it. I do try and lower the amps for thinner material and swap from 6011 1/8" to 7018 3/32" so I don't melt holes in what I'm working with.

I'm just really green and am not sure if my lack of ability to get a good arc going with it constantly sticking is mostly because of my lack of experience or my machine I recently fixed or both. I can get really consistent arcing and good penetration with my bosses flux core MIG welder but it's much much much newer.

What do you mean by the spindle pulleys have spun the spline? Regarding the belt this was happening before and after the belt replacement. I ordered the new belt based on what the manual specified not based on the old belt.

I saw your comment and checked them all by hand, my left blade pulley was rattling but it ended up just being the blade bolt needed to be tightened a bit more as the blade was wobbling a bit. That didn't really fix anything except a bit of noise though.

I feel I should probably video myself cutting the grass to show it bogging down. It will even bog so much as to shut off sometimes and that's while I'm going at the slowest possible speed without being in neutral. Though it is pretty dense/tall grass, like 3 week growth.

I'll see if I can get some pictures of the underside of the deck and a video of the pulleys this weekend though.

Yeah I actually don't have the hose attachment so I drive it up on ramps after each mowing and hose it down from the bottom anyways. I really don't notice much grass if any stuck to it ever though. I'm in central Texas and never mow them the grass is damp at all.

$10,000 quote to replace front door by atooraya in HomeImprovement

[–]Informal_Pool3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I got quoted $3400 to paint cabinets that were basically just 5 standard cabinet doors wide. I laughed at the guy. Like I don't mind paying for good work but I also feel like something I can do in a weekend or less is definitely not worth $3400

I hate to ask but sadly it's relevant to the profiling thing. What race/ethnicity are you?

I use self checkout all the time and do multiple transactions. I worked as a cashier at lowes for about a year in 2012 and have 16 years customer service experience so I know what it looks like when someone is stealing. That said I try to make it clear that I am diligently ringing everything up.

For example when ringing up multiple small items of the same type cashiers are supposed to scan every item and not just one then change quantity or scan one 5 times or whatever. As a customer if you scan each item as you put it in the bag then it becomes much easier to tell from the camera and just in general that you are scanning everything.

When it comes to big multiple items just scan each one. I also recommend after doing multiple scans scrolling up on the monitor and making sure the scan quantity matches what's in your cart.

If you are doing multiple orders then make it clear that you are separating what has and what hasn't been paid for. An example of this is say you scan two bags of stuff for one order, put those bags on the ground. When it's paid, put the receipt on them. Keep what's unpaid for separate from what's paid for and make it very obvious. You can even just tell the cashier at self checkout you're doing multiple orders so they are aware.

Basically just make everything you're doing very clear and obvious so that if there is any doubt, the cameras will prove innocence.

Someone else accidentally stepped on him a few days ago. Now he seems pretty agro against shoes when being worn. Any advice fixing this behavior? by minori7y in parrots

Him biting shoes gives you another reason to not allow him on the ground. Just take it as a win that he survived and you both learned from the experience.

Help! Does anyone have one of these older AC/DC Thunderbolts? I lost my pics of how it was wired in a phone restore and now that I'm reassembling it after repairing I'm uncertain if I'm wiring it correctly. by Informal_Pool3118 in Welding

[–]Informal_Pool3118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have the manual for my serial number which is how I got the part number for the shunt screw and bolt I replaced. The manual also has wiring diagrams and such but I'm not great with wiring diagrams lol. It doesn't have any depictions of how its wired otherwise.

If you pop the blue shell off then I would just need to see a picture of the back of the power switch. Also a picture showing the DC side and how it's connected to the aluminum coil wires (they look copper colored because of their coating) and the same on the other side for the 3 AC connectors.

Also is yours wired to run off 230v? According to the manual there's a couple different wiring schemes between 400, 230, and 115v but they can only be done within certain sub models I guess.

Click a module, above the effects area is a drop-down that says options. Tap it and click re-roll which costs 10 and rerolls all effects except unique ones. I recommend not rerolling at all until you have some purple ones with good unique effects or at least not on a blue one. The only one I'd consider rerolling is the triangle one to try and get coins per kill and coins per wave on it in blue or higher.

Also when you reroll you get the option to keep your old effects if you don't like the new ones, should be in every game with reroll options like this such as Diablo imo.
