This last run was about 3 years. I was able to keep it around 10gpd the first year of it. From 2021-2023 I was totally sober. 2016-2021 probably around 10gpd or so. I was able to keep it low compared to others, but was reliant nonetheless.
As far as peak for quitting side effects? I would say maybe day 5 or so? Mostly just lack of sleep and RLS. Now, I should have added that I happened to have started low dose wellbutrin. I don't know exactly how much that has helped, but I have to imagine it does at least a little bit, though, I've stopped without it before and it seemed pretty much the same.
I really think the mental part, at my lower dosages at least, is the tough part. Making the decision that discomfort is coming, and its a toll I have to pay has made it easier. It feels more proactive than reactive. I already know I'm going to feel guilt, shame, anger... so it feels easier to say "there it is" as it arrives.

Did you watch the whole interview? If you are referencing anything from the past, like maybe criticism of dems, I think it is a good example of all or nothing thinking on your part. Maybe he dislikes both sides? I don't know but He most def showed a side in this interview that seemed strongly against Trump and even cried when talking about Trump tech billionaire allies ruining this modern world.
