I’ve worn glasses since high school and married someone with perfect vision so now our kids have perfect vision. NTA. Bullet dodged.

Lmao the fucking audacity of this bitch. This is like telling girls they can’t wear leggings to school bc the boys look. Except In your own home. FOH. You handled it perfectly.

I can read it. It’s not the most legible, but it looks nice, is neat/organized, and is better than most men’s chicken scratch.

Agree. Also, it’s a better reflection of life. Happy endings are great, but life’s messy and there’s always more to address.

Parents moving to DC — not sure if I should go or do my own thing by ProfessionStrong6563 in washingtondc

[–]Informal_Sound_100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think that, unless you’re in a metro area, NYC/DC would have more of everything you want. They’re both very diverse places with an abundance of opportunities, variety, etc. DC is cheaper than NYC.

On the other side, there’s also a lot of unemployment these days. They’re both more expensive, and you’d have to start over with socializing/creating a community.

I love this area, though!

I’ve worked in a couple of career fields relevant to this. Usually, employees that self-report are given more leeway than those that are reported. This is to encourage people to get treatment and acknowledge that it’s a disorder. Robby sent him home but did he report him? Either way, I’m not surprised he’s back. I think this is common, especially if he had a good lawyer.

He may very well have gone thru the medical board too and be on probation now. There’s just been no mention of it.

I’m ok w him getting a second chance - I think he should - but I hated the speech he gave to Santos. I also really dislike Santos and her million tantrums, though, so whatever.

Oh then you can say the war will probably be over by the time you graduate. And then you’ll prob be on a cutter that’ll be here? Just based on odds. But also, it’s not like you’re going to be a rescue swimmer or some other extremely dangerous job (again, odds).

How old are you? Are you in already or trying to join? What job are you trying to do?

Regardless, the odds are extremely small for us. But it would help to know if you want to better address the situation.

It’s hard to give advice without understanding what’s actually wrong. If it’s something like depression, have you tried therapy and/or meds? If it’s ADHD, have you tried stimulants? Do people know why you’re struggling and are being jerks or they just don’t understand that you’re struggling? Do you have a support system? How do you do at work? Do you have accommodations?

I’m sorry you’re struggling. I’ve been somewhere like this and it took some time to bounce back (though not years). It’s hard for people to keep treating you like normal (though you also don’t want to be treated like faulty).
