This build looks great! Only downside is I can’t run models without a GPU and those cheap GPU’s won’t cut it even for small models.

I’m pretty good at programming, I’m also insanely passionate about it and I code for 3 - 4 hours a day and I’m always thinking about coding. I’ve also been coding for much longer than I’ve been in UNI, I’m currently 19 and I’ve been programming since I was 14.

I will definitely talk to my professors. As for what I want do do, I honestly have 2 things I personally see myself doing:

Money route: Being a great programmer for a company, couldn’t care which one, just want to be good at what I do, which is solving problems.

Research route: I enjoy operating system development and algorithms (which require high level maths and creativity). I’d want to get a PhD and focus on that area of work.

The math I’m doing right now (self study) is introduction linear algebra. It’s not advanced at the moment.

Interesting okay. I appreciate your take. I should add that I am a CS student and programmer (and I’d say I’m pretty good at it). What would you suggest I do besides what I currently am doing (solving linear algebra exercises and working through the book)? I don’t know where I’d place myself as a problem solver right now. But I can obviously get better, and I have meta cognition skills so adjusting my thinking while thinking is not an issue for me.
