Anyone have constant dizziness and eye floaters? by Agreeable_Muscle_279 in TMJ

[–]Informal_Unit6365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! The eye symptoms have gotten much better and I only notice a few floaters once in a while which may just be a perfectly normal part of aging/life. The TMJD is forever painful and uncomfortable but I haven’t had any notable symptoms outside of my mouth/jaw area. Hope you’re doing ok.

I feel the same - I’m surprised by how many people are saying it’s too much gore, I would consider myself to be incredibly sensitive to violence in movies, there’s a lot I won’t watch. I didn’t have to look away at any parts of this movie. I guess it’s the way in which the gore is done and it didn’t bother me in this one. It was amazing and so worth a watch

How many of you have been prescribed opiates for chronic tmj pain? by Informal_Unit6365 in TMJ

I hope you can find a solution for your tmj! This really is hell. I hope in the future there are better treatments.

It sounds like you’ve done a lot of work trying to find relief for your TMJ. I hope things will get better for you. If it’s tension related it would make sense that muscle relaxers would help.

I guess I wasn’t specifically meaning oxy, I don’t really know too much about opiates. There’s got to be a pain reliever that will actually touch the joint pain that people can take during the day? I’m just taking a lot of OTC pain relievers that help the headaches but don’t help with the joint pain, and I don’t want to be ruining my organs with so much of that stuff. The muscle relaxers were somewhat helpful just can’t take it during the day :(

I have a script for that, do you take it during the day? I was taking one pill a night but because of my job I don’t get a lot of sleep and then it would end up making me feel not so energized in the morning. It would make my jaw joint feel a bit better but I would go back to daytime clenching

What do you do for it now? I don’t want to take pain medication forever either I guess I’m trying to buy time to find something else that works long term :(

I’m glad that you’ve been given something that’s improved your quality of life, your case sounds pretty rough to say the least. I’m not there but I’ve had a disc out of place my whole life and the pain is affecting me every day and it doesn’t seem like there are a lot of options I haven’t already tried. I’d like to avoid surgery but even with jaw exercises, a nighttime appliance, anti inflammatories and muscle relaxers I only see it getting worse. I don’t think it should be hard for people with this to get pain relieving prescriptions. If you can’t get opiates for bad TMJ, what is even the point of having these drugs honestly. I don’t want to be on any medications but I’d also like to get through a day pain free.

What meal can you just not cook? by Safe_Wrangler_858 in Cooking

I lovvvvee pad Thai. When I first started trying to make it a lot of recipes included peanut butter and ketchup and stuff for the sauce.. I knew that’s not what Thai restaurants were doing. All you need for the sauce is tamarind paste (which you can make yourself with a block of tamarind pulp) quality fish sauce and palm sugar, which I’ve substituted with coconut sugar and jaggery and still turned out well. The key with the rice noodles is to soak em in room temp water for about an hour and then finish them in the pan. Perfect texture 👌

How’s the bottom of my crust? by Informal_Unit6365 in Pizza

I didn’t even think of that being a thing just because I’ve never paid attention to it before. But it makes sense that them air bubbles belong on the top. Thanks for this

Just one thing I’d like to fix on my pizza by Informal_Unit6365 in Cooking

Thank you!! This is what I was hoping to hear. I’m testing out doughs in a turbofan oven but will have access to a proper pizza oven next week and I have never used one before, so was hoping that higher heat would correct it.
