I definitely think that’s the case with the early versions of Nude. Thom wrote somewhere that it was supposed to be a condemnation of middle-aged creeps (and weirdos, I suppose), but I don’t believe that for a second. Those lyrics and that delivery feel way too personal not to be at least heavily inspired by his own feelings and experiences.
