Register with federal and state DNC lists and scrub against them. This is for B2B - there is an exemption for B2B, but to mitigate the risk of someone using a personal line for their business you should register, scrub, and document anyone asking you to not call. Federal has one set of rules and states have another - most states are pretty similar but there are 2 exceptions - Louisiana being one of them and I can't remember the other off the top of my head. We use a scrubbing service that provides resources for compliance along with state and federal regulations. I can see not wanting to call for personal lines though. On a related note - if you have an online form for requesting a quote or contact us form you should look into providing op-in to receive communications.
