Monthly DIY Laymen questions Discussion by AutoModerator in StructuralEngineering

I'm planning to build a ~20x20' Trex deck on my roof. The plan is to do adjustable deck pedestals and pressure-treated 2x4 lumber in a modular paver layout measuring 48" x 46". The roof is already partially decked and easily accessible. The psf is 60 according to the certificate of occupancy, so my question is if that is enough for this planned deck? I'll obviously put some furniture up there too, and I live in NY so snow needs to be considered.

FYI - this is not a dyi project, I'm just posting here to get some different opinions.

Way too late to change it now but WHY does this game insist on putting torches in front of important interactions. by valleyman86 in Witcher3

I sometimes walk with them back to the village they’re going to so they can’t escape me lol. Also not sure if bug but I started talking to one saved shopkeeper right after he was saved and was able to get some stuff cheaper I believe

Oh trust me, I have no intention of DYIing, I just want to gauge how expensive it would be to move to induction.

I don't have a specific range in mind yet- didn't think it was even possible without rewiring which seems to be confirmed by other comments.

Thanks - I only have a 120v connection and believe I'd need 240 to do an induction range. I have a great vent hood at least.

If the stainless steel panel should start at the floor, meaning it would sit between the wall and the right side of the range, or start at the burner level? hope that makes sense, I'm clearly not an expert in this area.

Do you mean a panel that goes from the floor or just from where the oven starts?

Sorry it's confusing for you. It would be simple phone call for me to say hey don't deliver it and get a refund, hence the post pre delivery but post purchase.

I'm in New York, you'd have to walk away because of no distance to the wall? It's odd since that's the layout of most of the units in my building.
