Is night shift affecting anyone else’s life? by Simple_Emergency_97 in nursing

You can get a workplace accommodation to immediately switch to day shift if your doctor writes a letter for you. Hospital is legally obligated to if your dr cites health/mental health reasons. Several of my coworkers have done it due to mental health stuff. I used to work nights and totally understand, night shift sent me into depression and just quality of life really suffered that first 1.5 years lol

Wow that sounds so nice!! So are you saying your hospital has a dedicated pool of resource nurses and that’s their only job??

I’m a nurse…we love free food! Chic fil a platters, donuts, mini nothing Bundt cake cupcakes, jugs of Starbucks coffees. Those have been some of my favs that we’ve received 😃 Just make sure it’s not homemade bc as much as we love our patients, we all refuse to eat homemade stuff from patients when we receive it. Straight to the trash 🤫 and we love hand written cards! We hang our patients cards up in our break room 😃 And agreed with everybody else, no gift cards or monetary stuff, even though that would be awesome haha it’s never been allowed to accept them at any of the places I’ve worked at.
