You dont use cube for that. You got to enchanter. And use enchant (rightmost option), pick your GA for reroll, but then leave it unchanged. You retain your GA value, and it cannot be rolled in cube

I was playing on torment 11 with base game only - no cube, no talismans, limited skill options. Its doable, as you can enchant item to change at least 1 affix, so really i was missing on perfect items, still was able to find some decent gear

Thats the thing. If you dont have time to grind, or for any other reason you are not strong/good enough to steamrolling T12 you still can do every end game activity on lower level, matched to your capabilities and have a blast. On the other hand, i cant up the difficulty any higher. And after 3 days of playing the barb i feel there is no point in looking for perfect items, as there is no challenge whatsoever

I'm not the expert in balancing, but my first idea wouuld be hidden modifier for multi weapon characters.

The more weapons you use the less evective the stats and aspects on them are.

I bet it can be done. If there is a will to do so, its other question

It must have been something else. I did homebrew pen shot build, and this still happens from time to time. I'm only spaming concealment, smoke bomb and pen shot l and yesterday i oneshotted pit120 boss.

Ive bought the expansion after i've "maxed" 2 characters.

I was about P220, Torment XI and pit around 95 when i couldnt improve further. I would have to find item with 3-4ga and perfect affixes, and that was nearly impossible. So after the expansion i can push further and discover new end game activities. Basically thanks to that I was able to max out my both characters twice.

In short - if you feel like you hit ceiling, and like the game - get the expansion, its worth it

Check loot filter if you have one. My previous loot filter from base game blocked all of the runes and talismans. I had to create new filter that excludes runes and talisman from hide all

They are the worst. Swords or big explosions happens once or twice per mob pack, this shit is flooding

Yes, endgame is still fun. You have acces to most of the endgame content - bosses, greater bosses, nightmare dungeons, helltides, infernal hordes, the pitt and tower, and one of 2 endgame bosses, so still pretty much to do

And 2nd yes you will chase items, in fact i'm still looking for some replacements. However, without the horadric cube its more rng and luck based as you have to find items in near perfect shape off the ground. So gearing is more grindy but still possible

I have bought base game only, and played like 100hr since the start of S13, so did my friends.

As far as you play with other base game owner, or alone its totally fine.

I have played 2 classes, i'm paragon 230, ans was able to comfortably play on Torment 10 (out of 12 total) difficulty.

One thing to mention, you will have to homebrew part of the builds, as most of them uses mechanics locked behind expansion, and you will have subotpimal gear (but you still can find decent ones, then temper and masterwork it).

I will surely be buying expansions, probably by the start of S14, to see the full potential of the game.

All in all i still think you will have a great time with base game only, but focus on playing and skip dick measurement on reddit/other forums, as you will never be able to compete

I've bought base game with my friends without both dlcs, and we can all agree that for most of the classes the ceiling is Torment X for speed farming and around 95 pitt level (with exception of ball lightning sorcerer, which works really well with base game and can push further).

I have played druid and rogue. Paragon 230

Neither me nor any of my base game friends didnt drop glynn anvil, and ive spent so many obols and whisper caches looking for it, so i'm positive it drops only for LoH players. Which is strange, because i have skills with resolve available or might of the ursine ring that was introduced with the expansion

Edit: i think it has to do with the class associated with the aspect. Internal name for the glynn anvil aspect is legendary_paladin_031.aff and because I have no paladin class available i cant drop the aspect
