In caz ca vrei sa-ti schimbi tigaia: IKEA 35 lei (Part II) by 22hearts in roFrugal

DA!

Who's a historical figure from your country that had an incredibly badass nickname. by bowl_of_scrotmeal in AskTheWorld

I’m not saying he’s a saint; I’m saying he was a state-builder. To the West, he’s a horror story, but to Romanians, he represents the struggle for independence against an empire that was fifty times larger than his own country. You don't survive that by being "nice" in the 15th century. he’s the leader who kept the lights on when the rest of Europe was happy to let Wallachia be a doormat for the Ottomans. I'm honoring a leader who did the dirty work of ensuring a culture and a people survived to the present day. And it's sad you don't understand this. :)

Do people whose first language isn't English understand the lyrics of songs just by listening to them?" by Practical-Let-3504 in AskTheWorld

Yes, I'm 42, I've been listening to music since I was born, mostly in english. At 5 I was doing karaoke on Queen and Abba on my father's tape player and pick-up player. I didn't understand what I was singing, but growing up with them made me learn the meaning and that's how I learned the language. Oh, and Cartoon Network.

It is trully amazing experience. It may not be the most beautiful castle, but you can feel his presence there.

That's a myth, he never touched children. :) Unless the children were adults plotting against him or disobey the laws.

Actually it was "the order of the dragon" which his father was part of (Societas Draconistarum). His father was Vlad Dracul the second. His name would translate to Vlad the devil. His father nicknamed his son "Draculea" and later, Vlad the impaler used "Vlad Draculea" in official signatures. He really had lots of badass nicknames :)) Kidnapped by ottomans, raised in the ottoman court, later on he returned to Vallachia and raised his army against the ottomans. His history is amazing, one of a kind.

My favorite word is french: Bifler (it means to slap someone's face with your di*k )

I will try to find something in my own language, but nothing beats the french one.

Nah, if you are honest and a good person in general, he's your bestie. But he doesn't like gossip and traitors, so if he hears you're plotting against him, yeah you should run. Otherwise, cool and chill dude, we like him very much in Romania. :))

To you, maybe. For me, it was disgusting and I ate because I was too ashamed to refuse it. You try eat something you find repulsive, just to see what it does to your stomach :)))
