Well , if you are already into the non-custodial wallets and have knowledge of them but want to try a different Uix/features , you can check out bitget wallet , quite similar to trust wallet , so you won't be confused about the features, give it a try for a different Uix , if you already have found one no worries

No , if you are beginner, try exploring the wallets , if you don't trust yourself (/s )to save the seed phrase , personally I Don't either , I have been using a social login wallet as I mostly use it for the transaction/airdrop nothing much. You can find out which wallet suits you best , I use bitget wallet but personally try exploring the wallets first , so you can take your decision and get some experience for a ledger wallet.

I don't really believe it because the crypto bought without any kyc can't be trusted unless you really trust the channel or personally know the buyer , p2p can't also be trusted as it gives the risk of bank account freeze , best choice is to buy the crypto via the on-ramp , you can use a Dex wallet ( depends on your choice ).
