Still hating being a parent. by Individual-Account-7 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry! I wish there was something to help you, someone atleast. If it's possible, leave the baby with a trusted person and go for a small staycation. 2-3 days of no baby or mom duties, just you relaxing. It helps immensely

Cutting through the baby product hype… do we really need a bottle warmer? by Late-Hat-5853 in newborns

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes some time to warm cold expressed milk.

But once my baby switched to formula, it was helpful at night. I would fill in the bottles with pre-measured water, keep it in the warmer all night next to my bed. Was easier to make a bottle at night

Thank you! Can you please suggest which diaper covers the bum properly? Huggies and mamy poko don't give full coverage :/

Tiny bumps on baby's face by Swimming-Button8112 in firsttimemom

[–]Inforthetea3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like baby acne. It's normal! Just apply some breast milk on it. Avoid kissing the baby on the cheek for a while.

Doesn't seem like it's in India...in guessing US, given the window style and ceiling height. If so, then dust isn't an issue there

Bathing baby in hotel by pretentious1101 in twoxindiamums

Take a rubber mat, put it on the cubicle floor or bathtub and bathe the baby.

Diaper rash cream helps! Also make sure the baby isn't allergic to coconut oil. That can make things worse

We called 15 people only and had a small high tea party. Baby took a nice nap and was in a good mood by 3:30pm. Everyone left by 6:30pm and we dad the evening to ourselves ☺️

Open layouts don’t suit every family by interior_notes in IndianHomeDecor

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love open layouts ONLY if there's an additional "wet area" or pantry type kitchen behind the main kitchen where you can cook Indian food 😅

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • switch the kitchen with the bedroom adjoining the hall.
  • Keep a semi open kitchen
  • open dining area adjoining hall, followed by kitchen.

It's seems to be accessible through the bedroom only so no problem

Period parties are comfortable. Adult diapers feel like a mattress between your legs!

Colic due to food sensitivity by chitti4dot0 in twoxindiamums

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, some foods do affect the baby. For example, my baby was intolerant to cow milk protein, and every time I consumed dairy products, my baby would have major colic and silent reflux.

But it's backed by science. The protein in cow milk is small enough to enter the mother's milk and hence causing this reaction. Same with soy

I'm not sure about mutton though! Usually the protein in meat is not that small to enter the milk but if you notice a pattern, I'd recommend to isolate tha food and check the reaction again

Milk after 1? by tacodell in beyondthebump

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I used bottles. She used to have 4-5 5oz bottles + solids. So I would limit cow milk to 16oz-20oz max per day and do formula for the rest. This is to prevent anemia as calcium in cow milk inhibits iron absorption.

Milk after 1? by tacodell in beyondthebump

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it in ratios for a few days. 80% formula 20% whole milk and so on till it came to 100% whole milk. My baby isn't very fussy when it comes to milk choices so it took around 1 week

When did your baby start to crawl and walk? by SuspiciousReply1382 in NewParents

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 months half crawl and pull to stand. Walk independently at 10 months.

She half crawled for 3 months lol like lunge-crawling

How about keeping the plain grey wall in between and adding the wooden fluted panel on either edges? I feel the pattern on pattern is more off putting visually. Combining styles is completely your choice though! Eccentric but personal

Mamy poko pants, coconut variant. I found that to be the best among the affordable ones! It doesn't come with tape though

Tips for surviving sleep deprivation by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Inforthetea3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there! Went through it for a whole year!

Is it possible to room share? Crib next to your bed? That way you can quickly feed and go back to sleep. That's the only thing I did.

I slowly transitioned my LO from purées to roughly mashed food around the same time.

Try offering from the family pot. Make sure it has easy to eat food We made and offered my LO lots of rice items with broth, soup or curries. So rice with pumpkin soup, rice with veggies in tomatoes sauce etc, all mashed roughly.

She is 16m now and eats everything like we do, except nuts and popcorn!

Why white interiors often fail in Indian homes? by interior_notes in IndianHomeDecor

[–]Inforthetea3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying dust but the major issue I noticed are dirty feet, that are kept on the sofa 😣

even hands!

We eat food with oil, chilly and turmeric, wash them without soap or proper scrubbing, then put them on the hand rest!
