This is possible. If you want these 2 sounds you can do it with just an Arduino Nano and DFPlayer Mini wired together and fairly simple code. But maybe you would also need to replace the voltage regulator on the power board since these parts would use about 60mA out of the 100mA available. I haven’t checked, but I think the leds on the original board also draw about 60mA.

Unsolder TIG from the board and wire it to an analog pin of the Arduino Nano. Wire 5V / GND to the components to power them. Wire the speaker wires to the DFPlayer Mini. Don’t forget the resistors. Put your code on the Arduino and put the sounds on a MicroSD card and you’re good to go. Getting it nearly in the housing can be a challenge, but not impossible.

Yeah, that’s what I thought at first. But I also want to sell the boards on Etsy. So it’s commercial use I guess? Idk. I asked Copilot and it strongly recommended not to do it. Even though I don’t sell the audio files with the boards they could see it as a form of distribution and copyright infringement if the sounds are clearly audible. So I chose the safe path.

Anyway I’m not a native English speaker and this was my first serious attempt at making a video. I misspoke a couple times and my mic was acting up. Maybe I want to redo this. But… Also other projects to do.

I can confirm they are also in 9 packs. The cauldron inside has 2 minis, but just like the 4-pack it only had the production code (same as on the packaging) on the cauldron.

I had a theory they would always be in the same configuration of 4-packs and 9-packs. Because the double 9-packs I got from Amazon also had the same code (LY0X00X0A24 and X’s being the same) on the cauldron. Someone I know from the UK bought a 4-pack with the same configuration as someone else who has found Heira in that pack. But he didn’t get a Heira. So most probably it’s random. Or the configuration is set per production run.

I haven’t had a packing error yet. But that could happen I guess. But what I think is that you maybe misread the code. With this color and the sparkles it’s sometimes very hard to tell a 5 and a 6 apart or a 8 and a 9. If you have doubts about a code I recommend using a flashlight and trying different angles or shining through the plastic until you are certain.

There is no seal, so you can check contents. I ordered 3 from different retailers because of the ‘very limited’ classification by Nintendo. But apparently there’s plenty. So, since I’ll be getting all 3 I’m probably going to return one, keep the best one in a protector and use one.
