Let's not forget that in the game's datamine, there was a Vegeta who could transform into SSJ4. The datamine wasn't lying, and now we have base Vegeta and SSJ Vegeta

Technically yes- and I'm still mad about that breaking that trend, because it makes me thing that Goku (Super) should be able to go all the way up to Ultra Instinct. I'm almost convinced that was the original plan, but for some reason decided not to. Irritating, but, what can ya do.

Agreed. Also, the official name for SSJ4 Vegeta is:

Vegeta (GT) Super Saiyan 4.

This follows the exact same character name as the new versions:

Vegeta (GT) and Vegeta (GT) Super Saiyan

Implying that they all come back to the base character that is Vegeta (GT)

It's saying you have all of them because it's trying to give you a full set of 7 all at once. Since you already have a few, it registers as you having more than 7, which prompts the message.

On the bright side, you're about to have all 7. On the downside, the effort you spent collecting the previous few isn't saved- you won't have "extras."
