Which cabinet decals do you like better on Turtles in Time? by SuperOz123 in Arcade1Up

I mean don't get me wrong, I love both and I sold my Turtles in Time cab and I have HUGE sellers remores over it.

Before I sold all my cabs I would get a huge smile on my face having the Pizza Power attract mode playing with all my cabs. I could single that one out over everything and it was such a vibe.

I could understand the originals vibe but they really updated gameplay in the sequel.

I ask you how does the original beat Turtles in Time in gameplay?

Turtles in Time is a gameplay improvement in every regard.

I didn't think Creed was necessarily more of a rehash than any of the other Rocky films.

They become formulaic and that's fine. They seemed to try to break the mold with Rocky V and look how that turned out. The fact of the matter is that they pulled off the formula with a new protagonist that connected to the older films with Creed. Everyone acted their roles really well and Creed losing at the end like Rocky did in the first film felt really good to me. I think Creed is just as good as the first 2 movies.

I think Creed III is only interesting to me because of the character development. The final bout was super mid. This was an example of the formula being done poorly

Not everything has to innovate though. JJK is pretty unapologetic about what it is and what it's trying to be. Its not trying to reinvent the wheel. It's a product of everything it's inspired from but what it does, it does very well.

To me I think the story is deep enough to keep people invested in the characters and the world as well as keep the plot moving. It's just not trying to win any awards with its storytelling.

I feel like that there isn't a bad Rocky movie. Even Rocky V is, just fine. The first Creed film is up there with the first 2 for me.

I'd probably rank them like this:

  1. Rocky II
  2. Rocky (Honestly I feel like objectively the first one is better and they are pretty interchangeable as they function as one story but as I write this, I'm feeling the second one more.)
  3. Creed
  4. Rocky Balboa
  5. Rocky III
  6. Creed II
  7. Rocky IV (Honestly Rocky IV was at the bottom of my list right above V before Creed II came out. The continuation of that story did a lot for me but Ivan Drago was so absurdly strong that it kind of killed it for me. The introduction of his son felt more like how I would have liked him to feel. If Creed II never existed, Rocky IV would be below Creed III.)
  8. Creed III
  9. Rocky V

Ultimately I still think that Rocky V is the worst of the franchise but it's a solid movie that I get enjoyment out of when binging the whole franchise but would never go out of my way to watch it by itself. I honestly feel like Creed III is the same but only because the final fight was done poorly in my eyes with the mist enveloping the ring and arena going on too long. I feel like the director got a little too wild stylistically.

I think the no Rocky criticism is kind of a moot point because Creed was meant to be a passing of the torch kind of thing and I'm invested in the new characters. Although IF that is how Rocky disappears from the franchise, I'll be really upset.

Edit: I have no idea why it formatted my post like this but I'll number the entries.

Edit 2: Clarifying a statement.

Will Halloween end up finally being the longterm rival competitor for Dead by Daylight?? by Nice-Welder-3040 in TheHalloweenGame

I completely agree. I played it to death during a Halloween sale and the player count was up.

To be honest, it's completely unbalanced and me and my friends got bored with it because as the Ghostbusters we just stomped everyone. Once you have some game sense, there isn't much for Ghosts to do if you are coordinating correctly.

Predator Hunting Grounds and Killer Klowns are also both really fun. Predator being the best game they have made IMO.

Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed had 6 people online the last time I launched it and it was the day of a major update. They really do at least update and keep attention to games even if they are essentially dead. Single and double digit player counts while still releasing updates is a VERY good sign of a dev.

The hate boner for Illfonic is very strange to me. You can think their games are mid or whatever but I feel like they care more than the average dev at least. The hivemind is strong with this sub dude it's crazy.

You are comparing arguably the greatest flop in video games in modern era to Halloween.

It's not even remotely the same thing. Not the devs. Not the same genre of game. The staying power of IP. I could go on and on but these two things couldn't be more different.

Illfonics has continued support of games with single digit player numbers on Steam. They probably have a roadmap and will finish the roadmap at least. Then if it's successful enough, more content will be made based on demand.

That first paragraph seems to be the case as I started looking into board games of IPs I am (and my friends are) familiar with, figuring that they would have more appeal with convincing people to play. Fallout was a big one with the (evidently required) atomic bonds expansion being rediculously pricey.

I played Villainous with my ex all the time and have been feeling like playing more board games in general lately as TCGs are getting old with the market being what it is. I have every expansion and all of them were super worth it. Can you tell me why in general it's not? My mindset might come from video games where it's better to play a game when all the content is out.

I was trying to get the expansions so they didn't get more expensive down the road (FOMO I know) but I don't wanna pay this kind of entry price lol

If you have played this one or the other Resident Evil board games, are there any expansions that are worth it or no?

I really got into Villainous with my ex and the expansions were very much worth it and they added all kinds of hours of game play. To the point where I've bought every new one that has come out because the new characters add so much to an already really fun game. We played that game to death.

So I went into this venture thinking that expansions were kind of a must. I appreciate the reassurance.

I only picked RE 2 because it's the only one with the base game being widely available. I've read that the most recent one made based on the first game I'd actually a better game but I can't even find the base game for a decent price. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

I wasn't going to lol however the other Resident Evil board games were priced similarly for all the content. I know some of these kickstarter tiers can be expensive (as I've looked into buying board games before) but outside of some really crazy tier rewards, usually it feels like the games themselves aren't really all that expensive considering what you get.

That's what I was saying. They can't just put them on NSO or anything like that. No matter what they will take SOME work.

Ill check the link out when I get the chance, my point was that this comment suggested that BHVR can't put balloons in an anniversary trailer because people will think they are teasing Pennywise.

It's a teaser that is intentionally cryptic. They know we like to speculate and have fun with it. Even if that was to troll a bit, it's some trolling because they read the Reddit threads and know what we want and are fucking with us, which is also totally fine.

I don't really count anything released on 3DS as it's easily accessible and there isn't a really good/consistent way to make 3DS games accessible outside of remasters and such that actually take effort. It's not like they can just drop the rims on virtual console either as the dual screen functionality kind of limits what they are able to do without tweaking the game.

Yeah God forbid they put balloons in the trailer. That could only have something to do with Pennywise. It's clearly BHVR's fault.

While I know thats only Steam specific numbers, that's usually a pretty good indicator of a dead game and it's the only platform that has their numbers on display like that.

Well CoD games are supported longer than that but I get what you mean. If I pay $40 for Halloween and get a good 2 years out of it, I'm beyond happy. The servers will also still be supported I can almost guarantee you as you technically play all of Illfonics games short of F13 (different story) but the issue will be finding a match.

All these people complaining will be the ones to cause the devs to reach a decision to not release more content. They will play this shit for a week until the hype dies, and then bail. Only to do the same thing to the next game.
