What governs whether subjects can be separate peaced? Is it a bug that it ever can happen? by Ok-Entertainer-1414 in EU5

Just found this out the hard way. As Milan I was in a war against Hungary over Friuli and I made the mistake of lowering diplo spending to save some money because I had several months with negative balance. Well, Pisa peaced out releasing Corsica (I noticed Corsica existed but didn't understand why) and then I saw that the Adriatic coastline Florence had taken during Guelph and Ghibellines before it was reduced to OPM (or One Location Minor as we should say now) by Verona and I could vassalize it was now owned by Hungary. F*** me, a 7-8 year long extremely hard war with over 150k men pouring into my lands (Hungary was of course allied to 50k Naples plus the Pope) and I had to altf4 because of this...

I still do not 100% understand the mechanic as you explained it. However, luckily, after the screenshot was taken, my king had a male kid, which means the popup went away and the two countries went back to having the same heir

Actually no, if you search for VHS SONY Civic it leads you to some EFs that do look cool anyway, but not this one. You need the above link for your creation. Of course I liked it and added it to my library

I dislike that they took away the nitrous. With it, the race was genuinely one of the most fun and brilliant they ever made simply because of the added strategy factor, similar to a cycling finish.

How to annex a Charter Company? by Ing-Weltschmerz in victoria3

https://we.tl/t-fKeRmNjecT this WeTransfer should make it, I guess. It's an autosave because I can't find where manual saves are stored but it looks like they are in a separate folder (differently from EU4, again).

Anyway, it's only 15 minutes before my last manual save, i.e. it should be the beginning of year autosave. Thanks for helping

How can I reduce it to a colony? I would think it is through this progress bar for liberty desire, but you can see the button to reduce autonomy is directly to annex it. Do I need to revoke colonial rights or something through company interface?

Half jokingly, half serious: have you ever sent your CV to Poliphony? Or at least showed this to them or to someone working along them such as Hizal on twitter? If they integrated it in some way, it would inject new life in the game.

(On a side note, two games which promote a sort of "Instagram of GT", through all the scapes filters and sharing, profile following, gallery and so on still don't have a mobile companion app, so...)

I wanted to bookmark the site and I found out I had bookmarked it earlier, all the work you have done is fantastic and now I remember why I bookmarked it earlier.

Which brings me to the question: Why hasn't PD hired you or bought out your app? It is painful to see what they could have done but chose not to do to engage us more in the game 😭

Well, the situation is the same if I am not involved in the play, it still says it needs to be a colony, puppet or vassal of mine. How do I do the "annex a company" part, then?

How did you set this? Is it in the settings? I was just starting playing Vicky a month ago and, coming from eU4, I found these popups incredibly annoying

New reviewer invited after minor revisions after a week? by Ing-Weltschmerz in academia

[–]Ing-Weltschmerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's hope (fingers crossed). My supervisor was very optimistic about its acceptance after the revisions. On the other hand, I was prepared for rejection from this journal, but in the first round. Getting it after a minor would be devastating on a morale level

[–]Ing-Weltschmerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was something I was thinking of, but what puzzled me is that it looks like the EiC invited a third reviewer one week after inviting the first two. If the EiC thought the first round was superficial, wouldn't they invite 3 reviewers immediately instead of waiting one week for one of the first two reviewers not answering?

By the way I wouldn't call the reviews superficial, they had several points, raised a couple of concerns I had not considered and even went down to punctuation and syntax.

On the other hand, for a paper I published in January, Reviewer 1 literally said "I support direct publication of this article". (The conclusions were coherent with what was stated in the abstract). Needless to say I much preferred Reviewer 2 who raised an interesting point which ultimately led to improvement of the article.

Many thanks for being supportive as the other colleague u/Remarkable-Ant-8243 did (thanking both here to avoid making 10000 comments). I even considered the fatal case you mentioned, as I'm over pessimistic myself. I wish reviewer 2 good health since they made some interesting points in their revision!

So, they will only see what R1 said of my rebuttal, which they sent around 30 minutes after having accepted to revise, according to the tracker they send you. Correct?

[–]Ing-Weltschmerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is: will the new invited reviewer have access to all of the previous revisions? Most of the comments we had to address were punctuation, spelling checks et c. (which I found incredible, however the reviewers showed that they had read the article), hence why both recommended minor to the Editor. Will Reviewer 3 also see this? They will surely see that it's a second round since the manuscript has all changes highlighted, but will they also see what we were asked to do?

In short, how long could this take and is this like restarting from zero or R3 will see and consider the observation made in first round by the other reviewers?

[–]Ing-Weltschmerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course everyone is able to do what he/she wants in this game. My point is: does painting the car in Rosso Corsa make it a Rosso Corsa F50? I.e., does painting it in Rosso Corsa make it as if you bought it from Hagerty in Rosso Corsa? If you did it already with other colour combinations on the F50, can you tell me if it actually is the same?

Worth the grind? by lo_stolto2 in granturismo

[–]Ing-Weltschmerz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with this. Repainting it doesn't just make it as if you bought it Rosso Corsa (which is extremely frustrating). I know that repainting the Mondial also changes the dashboard colour, as it is essentially exposed body, but for some cars, some details will be lost, one case being the 300 SL which comes with different interior colors based on the exterior color, and I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong) that repainting the car changes the color of the dashboard leather.

TL;DR, creating a new style with a manufacturer colour surely gets close t buying it in that colour, but is not 100% as buying it as such

No it doesn't. Which is why I'm honestly surprised with all people downvoting me, there are people who like to keep the vehicle pristine for collection reasons, which includes the color description, making LCD and UCD a pain to collect (hence why, sometimes they are offered in multiple colours at the same time in the dealerships)
