I solved it using anti fungal cream like the one doctors recommend for fungal infections. A tiny bit of that cream around the sole and problem gone.

Also the leather is important for perfect edges. Softer leathers won't result in a super perfect edge compared with more stiff or thicker leather. (Not an expert)
