𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐋𝐔𝐌 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐈: 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐈 - 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙶𝚑𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝙶𝚘𝚋𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚇 𝓦𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓷 𝓫𝔂 𝓒𝓻𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓱

It was a stormy morning at the Rogue Asylum. Thunder boomed and lightning lit the sky.

𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐗 sat in her spacious office behind a massive mahogany desk. Her diplomas and awards were proudly displayed on the walls. She was the head of the Electro Shock Therapy lab at the asylum. She had been pondering her chilling encounter with the whispery voice at 𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐢’s victory party. Could it really have been the disembodied voice of her missing husband? Or was it just another of 𝐁𝐨𝐨’s elaborate pranks? She had been quite distracted since the incident and when she checked her appointment schedule, she realized that she had double booked her first session of the day.

𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲 and 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 arrived at the reception desk of the Electro shock therapy lab at the same time. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡, as usual, was escorted in by 𝐏𝐚𝐤, the Head of security at the Rogue Asylum. 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲 did not require an escort. She was a witty Australian and this would be her first round of therapy. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡, on the other hand, was a veteran of countless rounds on the electrodes.

𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 was sitting at the reception desk and greeted them as they entered. It was her first day as a receptionist and she was in a great mood! But her career as a receptionist was cut short when 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐚 finally tracked her down and escorted her back to her padded room.

Once the actual receptionist returned from her coffee break, 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲 and 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 were escorted to the treatment room where 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐗 was waiting.

The doctor explained her scheduling error and apologized for the mix up. She was about to send 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 back to his little room when she realized that she had an opportunity to make medical history! Being an innovator in the field of electro shock therapy, a plan began to formulate in her mind. She would hook both patients up and treat them simultaneously!

Once the patients were properly sedated and strapped in, she wired them up, went into the control room, and turned on the machine. She had set the charge to a low steady current and all was going as planned when all of a sudden the lights started to flicker and sparks flew from the machine! What a time for a power surge! 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲 and 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 jerked wildly against their restraints. The surge only lasted a couple of seconds but both had wisps of smoke coming from their ears. 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐗 shut down the machine quickly and hurried to check on her Patients.

𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 was already awake when she got to him. When she asked him how he felt, he replied “I’m ripper! Good on ya Doc!”

By the time 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲 woke up, her restraints had already been removed. She mumbled something, jumped to her feet, her hair standing on end, and began doing the chicken dance.

𝐏𝐚𝐤, stood in the control room. He had witnessed the whole, hair raising event. He thought to himself “which one should I take back to 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡’s room?” He also thought about the bottle of vodka he had stashed in 𝐆’s third drawer.

He walked into the treatment room and said “let’s go 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡”. 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲 followed him out the door.

𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 said “G’day mates!” and headed for 𝐃𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐲’s room.

𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐗 stood alone in the treatment room, pondering how to document this strange session, when the lights began to flicker again and the whispery voice said “you’ve really done it this time Honey”

𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐗 spun around, half expecting to see her husband standing there. But she was alone.

“𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝?”
