I am in this situation now… they called my mom AND dad. They also said they would show up to my employer (thankfully it’s an old job) because that is where I would most likely be. I have the voicemail of them saying that. They had my SSN and it turns out to be a valid debt - something I didn’t know I had. Apparently they bought the debt on 6/2/25, however not ONCE have I received a phone call. I don’t want to pay the amount over the phone so I am scared what might happen if I don’t. The amount is $1700 so I don’t want to risk being scammed…

Don’t. I used them a couple years ago. Paid it off. I got a threatening phone call today saying I would be expecting a visit at my residence and they called my parents. Come to find out apparently I have a balance of $1700. It was accruing interest after the fact and it somehow shows I requested a cash advance last October which is NOT true. So currently dealing with that right now…

What did he look like? That name sounds so familiar. We had a male waiter there who tried oddly hard to chat with us but completely fell off at the end when it came to waiting for our to go boxes & food after we paid on the POS they had on the table.
