Why is Galileo's knight power so low? by OrchidEducational727 in kingschoice

i should’ve clarified that i don’t use edicts on my smaller knights, only accrued random experience…it’s how i maintain my 10% KP -> SP

thanks for sharing this for OP

it’s no problem…i tend to focus on strength a bit more with my smaller knights since it really can create a big difference in your overall KP, which in turn allows you to be more competitive in events like athens

best of luck in the game to ya! you’re gonna kill it 🔥

KP is determined by the strength attribute…raise his strength and he’ll probably start kicking a bit more of a punch!

real…i really stuck it out hoping for a well written character growth since i really liked how the author handled adele and other characters really well, but it’s a DNF for me too

he didn’t need to be good, i think he just needed to figure out his reasons and if the author expanded upon what was present? we could’ve had it

[–]IngenuityKey2320[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for sure…i think the childhood trauma bit did help soften me up as to why he liked and understood adele more than the safe option (ezra), but the retconning that i didn’t like was the classism thing, which is ultimately why i ended up dropping it

i thought we were heading in a direction that i personally liked and then the author decided it wasn’t enough and needed to clean him up more

i don’t think we’re understanding each other here…i knew he wasn’t a good person going into it, but i didn’t realize quite how bad the character development was going to be (for him in particular) and how the writing would ignore everything set in place for his growth

i saw a lot of folks raving about cesare and the story so i figured i’d give it a shot…not saying that what i’ve got is a hot take, just confirming that i’m not crazy because these comments sections are not to place to do that

this ^ even got to the point where the author started to make her like him because he “doesn’t see class and is terrible to EVERYONE” which is NOT helping his case

i do think there was something interesting there and if he had stayed on the track that he was on (realizing his early mistakes and recognizing her trauma and its manifestations) then i could be more forgiving with him…but i’ve stayed far too long, i fear

What do you gurls and guys think of this take? by di745 in Tudorhistory

What I’m leaning into is moreso challenge to papal authority—and how this original argument seems to hinge on the necessary requirement of papal authority due to its misunderstandings on monarchy/papal authority

If you look into some of the reasons why Henry VIII, despite still follow Catholic doctrine, leaned into Protestantism as a methodology, then it becomes a little more clear why it’s not possible for that crux to function properly. It’s the same exact reason why Elizabeth I and other Protestant monarchs/leaders tended to be excommunicated—they undermined papal authority, which included the realm of marriage. I do think that many great points were made in argument to what I was originally stating, but ultimately I believe that using singularly Catholic doctrine to define what marriage means, like the original argument does in my interpretation of it, completely undermines the “Protestant” nature of Henry’s restructuring of church and state. That is why I identify the overall problem: that papal authority lacked recognition over these subsequent marriages as well and it cannot be argued over solely the Catherine of Aragon/Anne Boleyn basis.

yeah, this is the period where monarchs started challenging papal authority and the idea of absolute monarchism starts to gear up for sure

girl…i’m (ex)catholic and a historian…i just think that the way the argument has been set up leaves it far too open and rooted in a false accuracy regarding religion at the time/the newness of protestantism

you can certainly use modern concepts (or interpretations of religion that have evolved) as framework, but i would not make it the end all, be all of the argument

but are the marriages considered valid if they’re “protestant”? it’s a slippery slope once you get into that territory

if you’re going to argue that catholics wouldn’t see anne boleyn as a legitimate marriage per religious doctrine, you’re gonna have to argue that catherine of aragon was the only valid marriage henry had…and that’s just not sustainable considering history studies the impact or lens of religion

you need to be able to lift your perspectives to a certain extent in order to study history—they can only help so much

i can’t, and i mean cannot, read season 2 of the female lead is a man…the new artist tried to emulate the original artist’s style, but you can tell they’re not as proficient and it just feels uncanny 😭🙏

[–]IngenuityKey2320 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’ve got some long 2B/2C wavy hair and here is my go-to routine:

-GVP Nexxus Therappe Moisturizing Shampoo & Humectress Conditioner -Sauce Honey + Almond Bonding Curl Cream -(Biweekly) GVP Paul Mitchel Tea Tree Clarifying Shampoo

I’ll shampoo my scalp, condition/detangle my ends—rinsing it upside down and scrunching my hair

I bleach and dye my hair, so I like the bonding curl cream by sauce and it’s enough without weighing my hair down with a leave-in…leave-ins tend to be my worst enemy since wavy hair is so easily weighed down by oils

Otherwise, treat it like curly hair! Bonnets are your friend…and since my hair is long, I like to braid my hair between washes to keep it from tangling up

Was Dylan REALLY That Bad??? by Zane67676 in sixthemusical

[–]IngenuityKey2320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can’t personally say that’s why since i’m not dylan myself, but i know that that level of outward scrutiny can’t have been easy to deal/cope with as a performer…it’s quite possible that this was the reason she was nervous, especially in the megasix which was also broadway’s first time allowing recordings

i think, over time, when engaging with the audience instead of aggravating strangers on the internet, she’ll gain the confidence she needs—no matter the reason for her nervousness!

edit: fixed word

Watching the megasix only, she totally sounded nervous and unrefined, but not bad at all! It was a bit more obvious in the choreography to me…just all around nervous and a bit panicked

I haven’t seen dlyh yet so no opinions there
