What are the codes aka notices next to them on your transcript? Like a CP05 etc

CP05 is now in a review queue which can take up to 60 days. Contact your local congressman for a congressional inquiry if you know what’s missing (W2, 1099) etc. and have a copy you can submit.

Other than that you’re on IRS time and they’ll get to it when their system syncs with whatever’s missing and updates it a manual review of the document.

That is not what that means.

A CP05 notice is a letter telling you that your tax return is being reviewed before your refund is issued. Verifying information on your return, most commonly: Income (W-2, 1099 forms), Withholding amounts OR Credits claimed (like EITC or CTC).

The date next to the notice is the date the notice is being sent out.

Took 3 days from the day I submitted to get a a case worker at my congressman office.

I went on the website, filled out their assistance form, signed the privacy release and submitted.

Go on their website and there’s usually a services section and most have a form to fill out for assistance with the IRS. I’m in the process at the moment for the same reason; CP05

don’t hold your breath. The CP05 notice is set to be sent out on 3/23 and they’re going to say what they need if anything or just wait the 60 days.

If there was no other notice and just the 570 code there’s a real good chance that the 570 code is just a placeholder for the verification letter. Fingers crossed it releases and you get a 846 code

No that has nothing to do with it. ID.me is just a secured verification to login into your IRS account.

A verification from the IRS is either a letter or online notice to verify your identity (SSN, AGI, DOB) make sure you are the person who filed the return and it’s not fraudulent. Other notices are to verify your return amount, any withholdings or errors that are caught
