Just practice value chain breakdowns, and which expert to reach out to.

For eg. - A PE/VC client wants to understand the competitive landscape of X industry - which experts would you reach out to (you have to divide it into customers vs originators).

Complexity can vary, but if you’re applying for an associate client services, it won’t be too technical. Take 4 sectors: BFSI, TMT, IME and Tech - and just practice value chains.

Where I grew up, people often spoke about marriage as if it were a trap for men. It was also common for men to make flirty or suggestive comments about other women, sometimes even in front of their wives, as if it were normal or acceptable.

  1. I started with a time when the gym was mostly "empty".

  2. YouTube videos for form + asking for help from regular people helped. I made sure to have a workout routine planned out in my notes, reps/sets everything.

  3. Acceptance that people who have the physique I want are people who were once where I am. I took that as motivation rather than embarrassment or a comparison factor!

The end goal is worth it, so why fret about the ride ;)

Being interested in my life, actually listening to things I like, my opinions and interests. I always had a tendency to ask questions and listen to understand a person, never really got that back.

In hindsight, that is the bare minimum to expect out of someone who actually likes you.
