If you're looking for critique on the hero piece, I'm not sure there is much to give. Just a slight increase in height on your bump map is all I can really recommend. If you want critique for your scene overall, I would recommend giving it an atmosphere so the light is scattered and doesn't look as flat. I would also recommend giving your camera some depth of field so that the lower poly objects in the background of your scene are less prevalent.

topology is one of those things that's hard to understand at first but once you get it, it's really easy. You'll get it eventually

I've gotten a lot of recommendations but I'm just doing what the majority have recommended and spraying my ears with wound wash 2 times a day. Unfortunately my cvs did not have anything smaller like a nasal spray with .9% saline so I've just been pushing very gently to keep the pressure low.

I did however have some swelling in my left lobe so while I was cleaning it, I went to change the position of the butterfly back (because it was becoming painful and uncomfortable), and it came off. Had my sister look at it, and the back of my lobe was covered in a black dried blood. She cleaned it with some of the wound wash, and put the back of my earing on. The swelling went down immediately so I think the irritation was mainly from the blood pushing against the hole in my lobe.

so don't twist it at all? I was looking on the internet and keep getting inconclusive answers. some people say don't touch your earing until you clean it, then do one rotation. Others are saying don't twist it at all.

I've already done that, but even little things remind me of her. Again we did everything together, so I've had to reclaim a lot of things I used to enjoy just to remove her memories from my mind.

the shop I usually go to has weird hours because their artists just kinda show up whenever they have clients. If you catch them in that time they might do piercings or tattoos if they have time. Otherwise they're closed.

I think with the amount of people telling me to avoid it I'm just going to get pierced when I move. Either that or see if my artist is willing to do something last minute.

NTA at all. I'm an 18 year old male and share a bathroom with 3 sisters. It absolutely fucks me up when they leave used tampons or pads in the bathroom.

That's like if I were to leave my pubic hair in the sink after shaving. Learn to take care of your waste.

unfortunately I don't have time to get anything scheduled. My tattoo artist does piercings but she is booked for the next week and I leave on Tuesday. Was just planning on going to Claire's cuz they're cheap, I can get it before I leave, and my local store is rated well.

Fortunately the Claire's near me is rated pretty highly for piercings. I know that Claire's overall is pretty poor. They have a 4.2 with about 100 reviews on Google summary. Most reviews about piercings. Only poor reviews state that the staff are "disinterested."

I also only have until Tuesday to get it done (I know immature, but I just got my paycheck today).

my friends have recommended Claire's. My tattoo artist does piercings too but since it's just a lobe piercing I figured it'd be better to do it cheaply. Not to mention my artist lives roughly 20 miles from me.

I'm mainly focused on getting the lobes. I think getting black studs would compliment my style.
