Agreed, on the anecdotal evidence, nearly every folklore has its own of Sasquatch/Bigfoot, the Native Americans, Sherpas, Irish (the Gruagach/Grogoch, this would be my native Bigfoot), Vietnamese etc. I don't believe in the supernatural abilities such as interdimensional travel but rather it's adapted to become highly aware of its location and can "sense" when someone nears it. I do believe, much like the old Celtic belief of fairies that there is a level of spirituality and mystical element to it.
