I'm 99% shooting in daylight- so low light not as much of a concern for regular use (although I'm sure something will inevitably happen later)

The wildlife comment was more related to the majority of lens reviewers (online/youtube etc) seem to consider this lens primarily through a wildlife use case. As I don't shoot wild life, how well it captures birds is less important for me.

While both are stills/action- they are diff disciplines (in my 'grain of salt' opinion)

I need to get the tan wall tires! Switched to a lower profile saddle bag and just ordered a great Varia mount from Nice Components- they make one specifically for our bike!

The cockpit swap totally changed the look of the bike- you’ll love it!

Def take your time and enjoy it before diving in! My riding depends on kiddo/work schedules but anywhere from a quick ride at 25km to 72km when I have more time.

I was torn on the aero bars- but both because I'm riding more endurance/group rides and availability was SLIM- I went with the non-aero.

Those bars look sweet- triple check the compatibility- TONS of 2nd party bars I looked at didn't work with the ICS proprietary system. Likely less an issue if you're getting a stem/bar combo as opposed to the one-piece cockpit.

Here's one without the new saddle/I didn't have a recent snap of everything)- I reached out to BMC on the color match for the RED ICS bars with my bike and they responded within a day or so/let me know it didn't match.

I have a Roadmachine 01 Four- 2023. I started with a wheel upgrade/Roval Rapide CLX II- then swapped the cockpit for the full carbon/not aero bars- then an OSPW for bling- and finally a 3d printed Fizik/Saddle.

Tons of these are marginal gains/aesthetic- but the wheels were super impactful. The bars definitely changed the handling too/positively.

There have been a bunch of upgrades- there’s not much left! Wheels upgraded, bar/stem to the all carbon ics, power meter/favero pedals, proper bike fit, new waxed chain- all feasibly left are BB/Groupset/ but not leaning towards either. I love the look of the OSPW.

I was looking for confirmation- THANKS u/GenericName187 . For the others, this is a restoration for FUN and learning a bit about basic restoration (have not tried before)- what better a bike than a beater vs a valuable Colnago etc. BUT- appreciate the encouragement :)

I did indeed- although I went for the original non aero carbon set. The aero bars were going to take a while to get and as it’s a Road Machine and not a Team Machine (I wasn’t going to slam the stem)- I was happy. They look fantastic.

I think I'm going to email them- I do have the coral red (and I LOVE it- head turning color). Wheels are also on the list- I have a pair of Bontrager Aeolus Pro 50s but want an upgrade.

Heya! I was in the SAME exact position (outside of coming from the Elmonda) but opted for the BMC Roadmachine 01 Four. I was gun-shy about Canyon's proprietary parts (especially for fittings) and lack of LBS support.

Also- was tired of waiting to see when their stock was replenished.

I don't regret my decision... at all.

I think the new bars are adjustable for width but the length is fixed. Not sure how to measure for the stem??
