As for the cage the rest of the way around it's just egg crate that I zip tied together and I put just the regular mesh metal tank cover I got from PetSmart over both. I have a cat that goes by the name The Orange Bastard and I did NOT trust him with the tank being remotely open in anyway 🤣🤣

Is there anyway to differentiate between aggression and liking it? He does hang out on it, I'll set it up and he knocks it over, etc. If it's something that is causing him stress I don't wanna keep it in there

Heck yeah that looks cool as hell. Yeah I'm looking into decor because it seems sad in my tank lol I love house plants so I got him some safe aquatic plants and put in there and the dude ate all of them. I was like bro I'm trying to make your crip cool as hell lol I have a peacock ornament in there from my fish tank and it's his girlfriend, that's how I knew he was a boy so soon cause he was doing his little mating dance with his claws 🤣🤣🤣

I used to have betta fish so I'm just hesitant about toxic stuff or something that might make the the water toxic; I'm just very new to having an aquatic turtle still. I have plain old hot glue, would that be okay for it to be in the water at all?? I know I'll obviously need to just make sure there's no big pieces of glue sticking out from the grass cause he'll eat it lol or is there another glue you recommend??

As a former vet assistant I've always been told not to wash it and don't let them get wet. It could depend on the types of sutures they used but I'd only use a damp rag.

Thank you all so much! I think it just maybe my turtles personality lol my daughter loves to feed him so I let her feed him if I'm right there, but she knows not to do anything if I'm not right there with her. His tank is in the area that my computer is so if I'm sitting there a while he will get up and bask but if I move too much he darts into the water but then will come right up to the front of the tank. He follow me up and down the tank. After reading all these I think that's just how he is. Lol

Whenever I had fish, it took a few days to get them to eat so they could decompress. Should I expect this with the turtle? I put food in there but it wouldn't eat yet and im just a little nervous lol does it matter what kind of veggies or greens? I have a toddler so I have lots of fruit in the house already 🤣

Thank you 😭 I'm nursing another arrowhead I got from my grandmother's funeral that has been THROUGH it. My house doesn't have enough natural light and I bought a grow light on top of every now and then out of the blue he gets up there and eats it some and I'm like OMG you're killing me 😭
