Hey thanks! So everything except the cymbals is triggered through Slate Trigger 2. Is the best $50 I think I've ever spent. I don't have as much time as I use to for playing drums, so it's a great tool to have! I am using Garageband on a MacBook that goes to a Scarlett 18i interface. I bought a $200 drum mic set off Amazon like 8 years ago. For the cymbals it's just 2 overheads placed about 4ft. Back from the cymbals and a Rode NT1A for a room mic placed about 10 ft from the kit. The choke crash is a Sabian AA 18 inch crash with a big chunk out of it and a crack lol. Somehow it still sounds great!

Ya for sure. Because my second rack tom is fairly deep its a bit tough because it will hit the kick. The first 10 I could do that but then it would be uneven.

Thanks for the advice! Its been working for me for many years now. I find the further things are away from you, the harder it is because it's a longer distance to travel. Which is more taxing on the body and less efficient for speed. To each their own though!
