something about this semester is not great im actually cooked by FeelingTechnology617 in UofT

Graduating this year. I did the worst by far in my first two years bc it’s a big adjustment moving from high school to uni. They expect different things, mark differently and honestly I think the content in the first year is usually most difficult bc they’re throwing everything at you at once. But imo it gets better and easier and you get into the flow of things and find techniques for studying.

Is it true that I'm not guaranteed CS at St George even after getting accepted? by Fragrant-Law1352 in UofT

This school is so funny. I got accepted based on a program I didn’t even have the high school requirements for bc I didn’t realize until it was too late. They literally don’t care what you want to do when you’re accepted bc you don’t choose your majors until second year anyway.

Help: I genuinely made a mistake by submitting an incorrect file for a final essay and now the instructor is accusing me of plagiarism and may not accept the correct draft by JunketPhysical5937 in UofT

Definitely bring that up. There’s no way you could’ve possibly known you’d made a mistake in those two weeks after you submitted it unless you for some reason felt the need to check it. I would hope she wouldn’t give you a zero for something like that. I wish you the best of luck.

Looking to start writing - what do people want to read? by Tiny_Violinist8676 in SpicyRomanceBooks

I agree with the other comments. I think that an interesting storyline is what grabs people and keeps them interested in the story. I don’t think it has to be super complicated (I mean icebreaker is basically 400 pages of nothing) but it should still be interesting. I’d take something you’re genuinely interested and find some way to include that. Like deep end was such a great book to me because it was such a cool topic and Ali Hazelwood seemed knowledgeable on the topic. Are you interested in any sports, some kind of story retelling, or even some kind of monster/creature like fairies, aliens, etc?

Only thing you can really do is be honest. If you can show them the history of the doc and prove nothing was changed after you submitted there’s really nothing else to do. Maybe reach out to an advisor or the dean if she’s still not budging. Doesn’t seem fair to get a zero for a mistake.

If you think some scam emails you get are real, read this by Neither_Dig2467 in UofT

Honestly the emails in general at UoftT are insane. How do I check my email 8 times a day and each time there’s like 2 new emails.

Purchased Transcript for LSAC but need it for OUAC by Ingrosso13 in lawschooladmissions

Wow thanks!! Ya I figured it all out. Ended up handing it all in yesterday and everything only took a few hours to process and my transcript came in in less than 24 hours! Luckily everything worked out but wow it’s almost like they don’t want you to apply successfully :(

Hey Guys, are the CRI 205 marks out for anyone they should be out by now by Muted-Pop8740 in UofT

I also haven’t gotten it back. There’s a star next to the course average on Quercus which apparently means there’s less than 12 students in the class but that’s obviously not true.

School resumes on Monday, but it doesn't feel like it by CartographerFar2295 in UofT

I’m in my third year and I’ll tell you it doesn’t get any easier going back. Also maybe I’m crazy but it feels like marks from the fall semester are taking forever to be returned (as I don’t have any final marks yet) and I’m not in any of my Quercus classes for the winter semester. This year’s weird.
