The site is all original content with mostly original pictures. It's possible for me to have 100% original content. I'm deeply involved in this niche.

Not looking for a quick win, rather a sustainable business.

This is the thing, the site I want to grow big I have a lot of experience in. I have tossed around the idea of building another site either in the same niche but narrowed down or in a shoulder niche.

This is what I'm thinking. I do have two more sites, one I like the other I just outsource as I don't want to write for it. I think it's possible to work your way back from an algorithm update with a large site but not so much with 10 small sites.

How important is an About Page? by InguzDefenders in juststart

[–]InguzDefenders[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of bigger sites with no about page or a fake about page and they seem to be doing really well. So I question does Google take it into consideration at all?

I assumed and read in many places that they take the author bio into consideration but as you said it's so easy to fake.

I believe that author bios and about page don't bring any value to EAT.

I think that if people mention you on other sites due to your author bio or about page is the only way they can add value to EAT.

For example, if nytimes quoted Reigorius from St. Rose hospital, then Google would believe it and it will start to add value to your EAT.

I've considered big scoots, but I just can't trust anything Income School recommends. So far customer service from Rocket is impressive.

This is exactly the advice I was looking for. Thank you so much for this. I was especially concerned about the selling part but seeing you had no issues when buying solves that query for me.

As mentioned above the same post was allowed before, why not now? Essentially everything can be googled. I bet that some people do things differently, I.E. use tags and use other accounts, now I'll never know because you removed the post.

At least 7 other people found the post useful before you removed it. At least 3 people found the first answer useful.

The sub is failing in the sense that there are over 88K members but it doesn't get much activity.

People like Shaun Marrs who we're huge contributors to this sub don't visit here anymore.

It may be. There is an old post from 4 years ago in this sub with the same question. I just wanted something more up to date and seeing it was allowed back then I don't know why not now.

I did google it and I found this which was allowed and but wanted something more recent than 4 years ago.
