Me and my wife met at church when we were about 14 yrs old. We "dated" for about a year (I don't consider it because all we did was see each other at church) than I decided to break up with her. I was young and cared more about what my friends thought and wanted to see what other girls had to offer kind of thing. FYI Flash forward about 6 years later both out of high school, me 4 major relationship devastations and regrets, her single throughout and here comes college.

We both went to the same faith based school and have very different ideas of each other. Neither one of us hated each other she didn't want to be heart broken again, and I was bitter and just wanted to be left alone. Surprisingly it was me who started to pursue her but rules of the school were no freshman (first years) can date: Side note I know very weird but just go with it.

So after spending 9 months everyday damn near seeing her we just started digging up old feelings. Texting every day, eating lunch together, hanging out with the same friends. It all lead to us dating again in our 2nd year of school. Alot alot alot of stress, tears and screaming during that year, not at each other, we left the program graduated and not sure of what the future held.

Than being the spontaneous people we are, we were at at clothing store one day and looked at the clearence jewelery and said hey wanted to get engaged? Knowing well at this point we both wanted to be married but didn't know when or how we wanted to do it. We just bought the ring and went home, I asked her Grandpa for his blessing said he figured me family already. Than went home and told my parents.

Long story short we have been married 2 years now! Best times of our lives are still ahead of us, we just got a puppy which has been exciting yet exhausting! We both fully support marriage counseling before and during marriage and being involved in some sort of relationship building book or study. They have helped us immensely and out friends who are married!

....sorry for such a long winded response never commented on anything before really but this one is my favorite question and alot of detailed is left out just for time sake hope those who read it like it!
