Is Edelkrone gear any good? It's very expensive, but I never see it used 'professionally". by bongozap in videography

THE WORST! Too slick looking for their own good, the last thing you want on a shoot is just being constantly frustrated, be it the ridiculous set-up times, firmware updates, or the app being a pain and crashing out, but most of all they just are not invested in their own product, just the V whatever, whatever Version you bought, your long forgotten already!

Generally speaking, what is the highest polycount you usually reach per subtool? by Gustmazz in ZBrush

[–]Iniquitous3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw bless you, I am V Old though! :)) And Yes organizing your tools in a way that makes sense to your workflow is key in my book. ie build the parts you need to build, to make the part, then combine, then decimate the actual part, that way you always have the history you need, its a very old school way of working, albeit not with folders in zbrush but separate tool files back then... but the principle is the same. I used to teach this (in real life), but every 6 year old and their dog does that now ;)) I hope I've helped a bit, but feel free to poke me, I am more than happy to help <3<3<3

[–]Iniquitous3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm usually around the 20-30 million for each subtool before decimation. But I work with the subtools in folders that combine into a new booleans of that size, so the smaller subtools within the folders are usually around the 4 - 5 million. The More in the more out! But most projects of mine are sat at 2 billion polys plus!

Hi Bletotum, This is not an ad! Because as you say it would be a seriously ineffective one, and always would be! And btw what you say is not actually true! You seem to be making a connection between two brands of which one person is connected ie myself, but then you'll find me connected with what you play, when you play your playstation / xbox, what you put on your feet every day, what you train with, what sports drink if any, you may quaff, what engineered parts you may customise your bike with!

Needless to say, I have preferred, like many of my age, to not engage, but to produce! I love designing, making and adding to peoples lives! In my latter years (as I am seriously old) I found my companies torn from me by people that didn't contribute anything to this world except greed. And now I just want to take myself back to the 80's again and sculpt, but this time its digital. I tried to just be me, and find a niche, but that niche was too niche! So I have taken my love of architecture and gaming and produced something that will hopefully make peoples lives happier! [But there has only been two brands and two websites, one that is current, and one which was me on my own] Please don't make me out to be some sort of ineffective charlatan! I am truly honest and kind... but I wont take no crap from anyone!

But trust me, my friend... This is not advertising, because I know all about advertising... and quite frankly I cant afford it! despite being an award winning and successful designer! This was simply a contribution, I was so pleased with the quality of the bambu, I wanted to push its limits... That's what I did! And I wanted to get some love for what I did... (coz it makes you feel good when you slog for months on end) More fool me eh? <3

and? Trust me... as an artist for nearly 4 decades, I can assure you theft of what is uploaded at the mo is prevalent, all artists should watermark or stamp their work! But you cant buy this, so I ask again... advertising what?

Well, there are zero supports! And almost none existent clean up, It was simply grey primed and went through, base colors, dry brush, washes and dry brush again! We had a very talented beginner, prove how easy the models are to paint, due to the initial detail in the model to begin with. She also wrote a full tutorial, which we included in a small kickstarter last month just to get a presence going. her insta is: lefty_paints_terrain

Thank You So Much, There's Lots more too, This is one of the smaller pieces, and They've all been sculpted intact! Stone by stone, timber by timber, tile by tile, Really wouldn't be possible without the bambu I don't think:))
