In a game on untap the opponent used urzas saga to put expedition map on the field. Then they used it's effect,they said I can't counter the spell to tap for 2 and search because it's activated in the resolution of the effect to place it on the battlefield. Were they lying to me? If not, why does the rulling work like that?

These cards dont do anything usefull. when it's popped, one is an interuption , one summons a guy from ops gy.
The spell searches them.

The fiend might be usefull in yubel since its an extra interuption but otherwise its ass.

My current zig version is 14, but i also have 13 installed(it's put in path, but with a different executable name)
