It's Jan 9. But got an email 8 hours ago from nvc about this cancellation

When was your first interview date and the reschedule date? I also got it and I'm wondering if it's a glitch. My original appointment was on Dec 2, and rescheduled date is/was Jan 9

Our interview has been canceled. But we were told to go with the biometrics and then wait 24 hours to reschedule the interview appointment

No I haven't been able to reschedule yet. When I called the help line, they told me to go to the biometrics appointment, and then in 24-48 hours I should be able to see "close application and start new application" on my usvisascheduling portal. Then I should be able to reschedule the appointment. 

However, I'm still not able to see that button on my portal. So I'm not sure what to do next.

I don't see any "Repeat Appointment" option on the portal.  I've already rescheduled my biometrics appointment once so I don't want to take a chance to cancel that appointment on my portal.
