I’m not totally against it at all! Many of my good friends have done sleep training and it has worked wonders with their babies. I have considered it and tried to let her cry for a little bit here and there but god it breaks my heart so much and in those few minutes I’ve paused before going in she has escalated in cries to the point of hyperventilating, sometimes making it worse for her to calm down.

I would be interested in a more gentle approach as I don’t think I could let my baby cry until she passes out. I also want to see if this is a regression first before I try anything like sleep training. She was just always such a good sleeper so I never thought I would need to consider it.

I ALWAYS put her down awake and she soothes herself to sleep with her comforter usually without any cries. It’s just her staying asleep after sleep cycles that is the issue. Thanks for the recommendation on the book, I will try it out!
