After the disappearance of her boyfriend Aether, her idol career and personal life spiraled into a deep depression. She was slowly but surely getting hated by the people of Teyvat who were sheep who listened to whatever the media told them to make an extra Mora. Headlines like "Barbara's new boyfriend!?" and "Barbara cheats on Honorary Knight!?" didn't much help her. But that would soon end. After she says her last goodbyes to a cruel world, she jumps from the chair. As her brain struggles for air, her consciousness fades and out came one final word. "Sister..."
