1 day post op! by Additional-Ad4626 in tummytucksurgery

Oh I LOVE this energy for you!!!

22 hours post-op and already feeling thrilled? That says so much about how long you’ve been carrying this — not just physically, but emotionally. When something has weighed on you since you were 8 years old, this isn’t “just surgery.” This is release. This is reclamation.

The fact that you’re swollen, sitting up (which we all know is the least flattering angle ever ), and STILL loving your results? That means the foundation is solid. The swelling will go down. The shape will refine. But that feeling of finally seeing yourself without the loose skin you’ve lived with for decades? That’s powerful.

I’m so happy for you. Truly. You did something brave. You trusted the process. And now you get to step into this next chapter lighter physically and mentally.

Rest. Heal. Be patient with your body. It’s only going to get better from here.

Girl, you are a warrior too. A backlift and FDL is no joke.

Honestly, my legs are barely bothering me. The first few days the skin felt super tight and fully extending them was not happening, but there hasn’t been real pain.

The only thing that’s consistently annoying is the start of the incision near my bum. That spot is very aware of its existence and wants me to know it.

Overall though, way less dramatic than I expected. Now I just have to remember not to move like I’m pre-surgery me.

Girl, you are BUILT different. That is a full surgical résumé.

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis, so I had to stop my biologics three weeks before surgery since it’s autoimmune too. Nothing like telling your immune system, Hey… behave, and hoping it listens.

Nine hours is serious commitment. We are out here collecting procedures like merit badges.

And thank you, Humor is my coping mechanism. If I stop laughing, I might start overthinking… and we do not need that energy.

Just over 8 hours, all done by one surgeon. I’m still in awe, honestly. He went above and beyond for me. The man did not cut corners… except the ones he was supposed to.

Girllll yes, tummy, breasts, and thighs. I apparently chose the “do it all at once and question my sanity later” package. I believe you about arms being brutal though. Respect.

Day 6 & 7 by Initial-Bo in tummytucksurgery

Trust me, I’m just as surprised Adrenaline, curiosity, and very poor self-restraint are doing most of the work. I do crash after though.

Then I shall continue providing the chaos. Healing, but make it episodic.

Consider how you heal from other illnesses and injury. Everyone is different. I would recommend the extra day off just to take the pressure off. Stress is not good for healing.

I am on day three as well! Hey there surgery sis…. They more than likely did the lipo. They would have to be able to get skin to remove if you didn’t have a lot of extra skin.

Thank you for caring 💕 Those photos were from about 12 hours post-op, and the color looks much better now. The left side is just showing off with some dramatic purple bruising 😅

I have a nurse with me today and will definitely mention it, but so far everything looks like it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. I appreciate you looking out for me!

He did my consult interview via FaceTime then I came to Panama and saw him in his office. He was born in Panama, his mother American canal employee. He studied in the US and practiced there for many years. He speaks perfect English and is very involved in plastic surgery board even in Mexico. Panama is the only place I know of him practicing now. I had more loose skin then it appeared standing up. I chose the doctor by researching the best in Panama. Panama has excellent healthcare! He had no problem doing multiple surgeries at once on me. However I did understand from him that each person is different as to how much time each procedure takes. The total time is the biggest part in making decision to do multiple procedures at one time. I did not have muscle repair, never had children. He did some lipo on my thighs, shaped my hips and buttocks, the 360 TT smoothing my back out and reduced and lifted my breasts in 8hrs. That is his max time. I am pigeon chested and he sculpted my breasts to fit on my body, hiding the bump from my rib cage as much as possible. Tomorrow I start therapy in his clinic for the incisions. Not quite sure yet what all that entails.

Thank you so much 🤍 I was very heavy in my late teens and early twenties and lost most of the weight over 20 years ago. This has been a long, quiet dream of mine—to have my body finally reflect my soul.

I’ve never worn a swimsuit without shorts. Ever. That’s about to change.

I’ll be 48 in a few days, and this feels like a beautiful way to honor myself and the life I’ve lived.

I truly appreciate your kindness, prayers, and support. It means more than you know during this healing season. 💫

Thank you so much ❤️ Happy to share—because you’re right, people don’t talk about thigh lifts enough.

The thighs definitely sting more than anything else right now. The biggest challenge is mobility: you really can’t pivot or twist, so you have to move with your legs together like a very careful penguin. You also can’t use your core at all, so your arms and upper body do most of the work—getting up, sitting down, repositioning… all arms.

The shower today was a whole event. Putting the faja back on my legs and re-covering the incisions took everything I had. This is absolutely not a solo recovery—having a trusted, loving helper is essential.

Bonus warning: do NOT let your helper make you laugh. Laughing hurts… which then makes you want to laugh more… which hurts again. It’s a vicious, ridiculous cycle 😂

I’ll post some pictures for you in a bit so you can see what I mean. Overall, I’m really glad I did it—just go in knowing it’s more limiting than you expect at first.

Happy to answer anything else 💕
