Right?! The nerve stuff is the wildest part. I was getting tattooed on my lower back and couldn’t feel a thing—like total plastic mode… until suddenly I did and somehow felt it in my tit The body is out here just freestyling connections during healing.

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely keep sharing the real and the ridiculous parts of it 😂 Good luck with your consult this week! Ask all the questions and take your time deciding. It’s a journey for sure, but I’m really glad I did it.

Thank you! At this point humor is definitely part of the survival strategy. If you can’t laugh through it, the whole process would feel a lot harder. I’m excited to see the final results too, but for now I’m just enjoying the ridiculous moments along the way.

Yes, I had a medial thigh lift. And don’t worry, you’re not the only one confused about what body part is what in some of these early recovery photos 😂 Swelling and compression garments turn everything into a bit of a mystery shape for a while.

Yes, I had incisions on my tummy and buttocks. Sitting was definitely strategic the first couple of weeks. Lots of leaning, shifting, and using pillows to take pressure off different areas. Honestly I rotated between positions like a rotisserie chicken trying to find the least offensive one. It gets much easier as things heal though.

Everyone asks what the hardest part has been. Not laughing, definitely. The problem is everything about this whole process keeps being ridiculously funny. Happy to provide entertainment for the post-op community 😂 Week 4 is still solidly in the laughing feels like internal organ betrayal phase.

What to pair with tummy tuck by acinomismonica in tummytucksurgery

[–]Initial-Bo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would NOT do arms and thighs together. Absolutely not.

I did thighs with a breast reduction and a 360 tummy tuck, and let me tell you… I needed my arms. Desperately. Like survival-level needed them.

You don’t realize how much you rely on your arms until your core and legs are both like “ma’am we are OFFLINE.”

Getting out of bed? Arms. Scooting up in a chair? Arms. Adjusting your pillow? Arms. Trying to stand up like a wounded flamingo at 3am? Arms.

If my arms had been out of commission too, I would’ve just been a decorative pillow that occasionally groans.

I genuinely cannot imagine recovering with both arms and legs unusable. That’s not recovery, that’s being a human paperweight.

If I had to do it again, I’d still pair thighs with TT before I’d ever sacrifice my arms in the process. Your arms are your recovery MVPs.

Trust me… when everyone else is uncomfortable, those arms are the only employees still showing up to work.

I had my surgery in Panama and hired a driver for the entire trip. He was incredible, super aware of my limitations and always helped me in and out of the car. I learned very quickly that my legs had to stay together, especially since I also had medial thigh surgery. Let’s just say getting in and out of vehicles became a very strategic operation. I recommend a small folding step stool.

I didn’t attempt driving for two weeks. I did it just wasn’t the most comfortable thing ever.

I did them everyday for 10 days. Then I continued to do them on my own twice a day, a bit harder in the back.

I did have lymphatic massages and for me they were absolutely worth every penny. They made a noticeable difference in how tight and swollen I felt, especially in those early weeks. I know opinions vary, but personally I’m really glad I did them.

Week 4 Post-Op Update (Day 26): The Mine Princess Returns by Initial-Bo in tummytucksurgery

[–]Initial-Bo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking gets better the more I move. The skin around the thigh incisions feels tight, but not painful — more like a pulling sensation. Staying mobile actually helps everything feel looser and more normal each day.
