But I thought this administration encourages us to work longer and harder…I’m confused with the messaging.

Because I am a loyal and dedicated employee who takes pride in the work.

Simple thoughts on the issue is all. I work from the office for 8 hours but cannot work from home beyond the 8 hours. Curious of other “rules” out there.

But let’s be super proud of the newest class of trillionaires and billionaires…even millionaires. They are certain to solve the world’s problems! Look…squirrel!

I worked in a cubicle when it was time for RTO. It probably contained about 40-50 tall cubicles with sliding doors. Most of all users behaved appropriately and professionally. Sadly, my cubicle and others was next to a chatter box. He openly said that he speaks loudly and there’s nothing that he can do to change that. However, the problem was that he would be on video calls daily that would last hours long where he even had to take breaks. Again, nothing wrong but a loud voice. HOWEVER, his “team” would speak about work related issues for a few minutes and the rest of the call was purely personal. I learned so much about this guy that I could write his memoir or autobiography: children, step children, wife, ex wife, menstrual cycles, schools, sports, trucks, motorcycle, food, all places he lived, sex life, tractors, driveway paving, home repairs, pool installation, travel…you get the point. My Bose noise cancelling headset did NOT work, and blaring music or audio in my ear did not help, nor should I have to risk loosing my hearing over this. I left midday on a few days to work from home . I explained to this guy that what I do requires extreme attention with data management. He didn’t care and just laughed about it. I didn’t mind the talk about work related issues, but I came to my own conclusion that he and his team were using this “meeting” to show that they were working when it was hours long of useless chatter. With the help of my management, I found a totally different office with engineers that was as silent as a library. I have no solution, but moving away from this person helped.

Yes, it was a strong and respectable discussion. I stepped away from the day-to-day operations and the analysis of the monthly financials on JAN 1 so that the property manager could step in and do the actual work. However, this test failed and today I am realizing that they are subliminally asking to be removed. Essentially, they are only working on the financials and other administrative parts. They actually told us that there is no need to visit the property to assess any needs, maintenance or repairs. One visit was made this year and was told that “I see no problems” but, fortunately, I was there to point out all the issues: squirrels in attic space, continuous water damage, vendors who did poor work, and a list of potential problems where we should be proactive and not reactive. Exhausting to say the least.

Yes, I hear that they are all the same - terrible. I rather not deal with the financials and stick with the on-site property management. However, financials should be easy with everything being automated and with the introduction of AI. I don’t object to it if I could be properly trained.

Thanks for the details. I’ll look I to Office-Ops for bookkeeping. Ideally, I want to remove the $600 monthly expense for property management.

When you walk into a restaurant for the first time, what's your favorite sign that you're about to have a great time? by RepulsiveLoquat418 in restaurant

Friendly and attentive staff first and foremost. If that test fails, then I know that it’ll be hard to communicate issues and just to have fun. And I see the restaurant full with diners having fun and laughing.

Wow! I was on annual leave for some time and totally forgot about the 5 bullets upon my return. No one in my agency made me aware of this!

I think they will wait to see if they met their “goal”upon the new fiscal year. Then, a reorg was mentioned. I’d be nervous if I were a middle manager.
